Was on my way to Stratford upon Avon earlier minding my own business, and just before you get into Stratford along the A3400, there's a big island. So entering the island, the left lane is for going straight ahead, and the right lane is for turning right, and I needed to go straight ahead into Stratford. And out of nowhere, some stupid kid in his '03' plate Ford Fiesta come blasting in the right lane, I knew he wanted to cut me up, and naturally, I booted it, and he was tucked up right behind me exiting the island.

So that would be the end of that right?, as we're sitting in pretty much snail moving traffic, but he's an inch from my rear bumper! As soon as the car in front of me moved forward, the kid behind me revved his engine and wheelspan to overtake me, and where we was, was a single lane, with the otherside of the road having two lanes and traffic coming towards us. I wasn't about to give in, so I accellerated too, but he now level with me and slowly inching forward past me, as I had to brake to avoid the car in front while it was still rolling. I had to make a quick decision now to let him in, as there was cars coming towards him, and he would have had to take my front end off to avoid them!

So now I'm fuming inside, amplified by the fact I'm in this slow trail of traffic with him in front of me, being smug about it no doubt!

I had to dig deep to keep my karma there, I was soo tempted to take a pic of his car and paste it all over the internet, but I just couldn't do it! I couldn't stoop myself to the same level as him, but it still didn't help me feel like a **** letting him in.

What would you have done?

Easier said than done guys, there's wasn't at any point he could have got in front of me without literally forcing himself through, so I did him a favour by accellerating, but he thought he would have a 2nd try on the exit of the roundabout which goes from 2 lanes to one. I'm carrying too much speed to stomp on my brakes and let him pass and stop in front of me heading towards slow moving traffic.

Me i just let them get on with it because one day they will smash there car up as they try a move and man i wll be laughing my tit's off as i look at them in there mangled mess.

Haha, it all happened all in a space of a minute, and it wasn't even my intentions to get involved, but he drove like a moron, taking waaay too many risks, and it was lucky I pulled out before it got into an accident! I usually forgive and forget in a short time also, but he was in front of me for the next mile, and it got me going.... grrrrrrr

I'm telling you I actually forgot the whole thing until I had to navigate the same island on the way home, and I had to follow a coffin dodger all the way home, who was consistantly driving 10mph below the average speed limit(worthy of a separate rant thread this!) which reminded me of the whole thing! Finally he turned off somewhere, and I had to follow another one of these goddam Fiestas with 'L' plates stuck on it! :Flush:

I officially hate Ford Fiestas OK!
