mains are hid's mate,, gunna get the ones allen posted for the high beems,,, got 9led side lights just want some fogs,,
will 100w be ok,, not get too hot i mean?

I reckon 100w should be fine, obviously depends how long you have them on for,i don't use minw as fog lights although i can if i want they are linked to the full besm through a relay so can either be used as extra spots or conventional fog lights so 100w will be ok for extra spots but can't see them being alot of good in the fog as they will be too bright, if it's purley a colour match you are after the leds are great just the light output is crap, i have 4500k hids ditted so will order some of the 100w main beams you mention

Please excuse my poor spelling, i can't get used to the small keypad on the iphone

Not an exact match, but here's mine: OEM Xenons and I think the fog bulbs are Osram Nightbreakers - I can check tomorrow.

I tend to only use my fog swhen it's actually foggy - I was more interested in the Xenon+sidelight match.

Whats the light output on the nightbreakers like?i have looked at these and they have a decent write up for a 55w bulb

I've got them on mine, they're not bad, certainly better than the standard 55w bulb. Quite yellow compared to my 6000k HID's and LED's though. As we've mentioned though, A4 fog lights aren't exactly bright at the best of times!

I know I've got 100w's in my mains, but personally I wouldn't fit them to my fogs. The mains are rarely on for much more than a few minutes at a time, whereas the fogs could potentially on for a lot longer on a foggy journey.

will xenon looks give bulb out errors , or do they all work ok ?

Hmmm good question - I don't 'think' so no. Either way a conventional halogen bulb shouldn't trigger it.

I'm will be trying these Fogs 55W and 100W fulls. Someone else on the forum had these as fulls and they matched the HID's he had.

I've just upgraded the fogs on my A4 B8 from the standard yellow ones with MTEC 4350K H11's and I have to say they're a good match. They are available in the UK and dont cost as much as the Hoen imports. I would suggest anyone looking to upgrade the fogs who doesnt want to mess around with resistors and wiring to use these.

Just fitted some of these bulbs in my fog light and the lense is red hot to touch guess there's no air pushing on it to cool it down .. Will they be ok the wire isn't getting hot witch is good but worried about the fog light getting very hot

I had them in mine for about twelve months without any issues before switching to yellow bulbs (as I always do in the darker winter months) to match my yellow dipped beam bulbs.

As for night breakers, I put them in my dipped and full beam when I first bought my car, and I have to say I didn't notice much difference at all to the standard dipped bulbs that were in there.

I honestly couldn't tell you as it's not something I ever thought to check.

Kinda needed my fogs this morning, and after an hour driving my fog light glass is just warm. This is with my yellow H11, not the mtek, but these are supposed to have the same increase in power (55w-100w) as the mtek.

I have used led in the past, the look is great but the light output is crap, I am just about to purchase some from T8ups as they come with great reviews.
