09 White Cluster/DIS fitted to 04 8P

Coolio, as I was gonna have words with them about the 3.5 hours, but overall I'd say was fair, as I assume they put everything back as new.

Yes they did Nige.

Tbh, I must say they were great. Stuart is a nice guy and they kept bringing me coffee all the time, and let me watch what I wanted to on the tele.

I just wish they were closer, because I would use them all the time if they were. They just show up my local dealers to be the useless thick monkeys I have always thought they were

If they cant, tell them to phone Nigels Audi dealer!!! TBH, i was concerned too after hearing of difficulties but even the Skoda dealer I used who is authorised to do Audi's can do it so how hard can it be? If they cant, dont pay!!!

Well I must ring Stu tomorrow to say thanks for looking after you mate, they really are the dogs ****** when comes to audi dealers, think they were voted 3rd in country, tbh I'd say number 1 from my dealings.

I'd agree with that sir

So now we're past this cluster fit, where's these beers lmfao.

Oh & if you want to know how to fix the lights, scroll to top of the thread.

Beers are going through cyberspace as we speak ( I presume your paypal addy is the same?)

I just read the start of the thread. Spooky huh. Just been out and done the coding. Bish bash bosh. Lights are gone. Woohoo.

Even managed to code the wash sensor out so that light has ******** of now aswell.

Have tried to enable advanced menus on the cluster, but here I have stumbled. It may appear that my car's module doesnt support it, as byte 23 is not available :( it only goes to 20 :(

Ahh well, most went well :)

I was joking you tart about the beers, lol.

Most well went, fxck me its immense that white cluster now mate, its a nice touch for sure.

+1 It brings the interior bang up to date for sure.

Deffo my new fav mod:)

Paypal addy same as cable, yes, but if you have sent anything mate, it has gone to someone else, as it hasnt arrived in my account lmfao

Its all gravy mate LOL

ive added more functions to the DIS by changing to a newer canbus gateway & newer conveniece module LOL. I'm still missing a few functions but im guessing its a CE change needed. N & I are looking into some major undertakings in that department, its just I may shortly have some interesting hardware to play with he wont LOL

:( Has any one got a phone no of an audi dealer that has done this so i can get in conntact with them so thy can tell my local dealer how to do it.Or does any know anyone in the midlands that can do it ? every one in the midlands keeps messin me around and its starting to cost.....took it to 1 place today and they said they can not code it because when they connect to germany it comes up and tells them its in the wrong car...plz help

Ok 1st asking a dealer to tell another dealer would be a slight **** take tbh, I would suggest a trip down south or up north to a dealer we successes have used.

& the old connect to germany **** is mostly absolute ******, yes they do connect, but they can choose to ignore the messages in VAS anyway, I know cause I've done it with them, it will popup this car has some anomolies, but it asks you if you wish to code them, all they do is go into the module directly afterwards & use guided fault find.

Would a 8P0 920 951 RX cluster fit my 2007 TDI?
Are there any recommended Southern Audi dealers?

Looking at the info we have here - Login

I guess you have the correct cluster, albeit in KM's and not MPH like the ones we are talking about.

1K0920863B is a 260 KMH TDi Cluster with Highline
1K0920874B is a 260 KMH TDi Cluster without Highline

The clusters can be adapted with VCDS so long as you have the SKC's if not then you need the Dealer tool VAS or someone with a suitable tool to extract the SKC.
I went to dealer today, and they cannot swap cluster :banghead:
Correct cluster should be 873 B, 874B have different (new) immo or something like that they said.
And just like you wrote to gti forum.

They copied kilometers and all settings from old to new, and when they tried keys:
"exception error"

This cluster is incompatible to my car

Can any one tell me if this cluster will fit my car

Old cluster no: 8PO 920 981 A
New cluster no: 8PO 920 982 CX

Just to make sure iam not trying to fit one that wont work with mey car..

Which white cluster would fit a left hand drive April 2008 pre-facelift S3?
thnx in advance

Apart from the colour are there any other differences? Can we not just change the LEDs?

The dis part beween the clocks is a higher resolution display too. The new cluster supports extra functions too & is compatible with things like park assist.

Hi there!!!!
I'm new here so I'll be quick!!!

Can anyone tell me if this cluster will fit my car

Old cluster no: 8PO 920 900 E (without DIS)
New cluster no: 8PO 920 930 G (with DIS)

Thanx

It would appear so yes, please keep these questions to the forum, not PM's, thanks.

Sorry for the PM but I'm a little desperate with this.

What else do I need to know about the new cluster?

Like immo no, codes etc??

Thank you

Take it to a dealer & get coded, you will need to disable washer sender or fit one iirc.

If I Remember Correctly

troughs?? It is the sensor that tells you when the washer bottle fluid is low for the windscreen wash.

Good thread Nige, I got a facelift cluster that you said would be good for the 2.0TDi in this thread PN -(8p0 920 982 J).
I'm going it to have fitted when I find somewhere in London to the swap + code. I was wondering though... In the beginning of the thread you said you 11/04- owners could check by removing old cluster and checking to see if a pin is wired up. Excsue the newb Q... How is the old cluster removed? Also how would I check the pump part no. against my VIN?

Cheers

undo the steering adjustment bar & pull the wheel out & down. Pull out towards you the trim under the cluster. You will see two bolts, remove & then the cluster comes out. At the back there is a clip on the multiplug that needs rotated and then the clip comes out at the same time.

Yes contact audi & ask what pump part is fitted & check the wiring on the pins.

hi my friend knows someone who has a brand new 09 cluster and was wondering if it will fit my car
my current cluster is 8p0 920 981 M (dis)
new one is 8P0 920 982 EX (dis)
i know audi have to code it to work but with the clocks been brand new would i be correct in saying that they will set the mileage to my current one now?
how much is this to get coded too thanks.

Can anyone shed anylight on this please Many thanks

It does apppear to be ok, you need to test it in your car momentarily to make sure it lights up ok, but you will also need to reset somethings when refitting old one after test, vcds needed for this.

Hi Rich, did you manage to find a place in London, ive managed to get myself a white cluster for my car too, want to get it fitted asap, maybe we can get it sorted same time?

Strange thought you already had a cluster.

Hi there guys,

I'm from Greece and I want to know if I can fit a used cluster (8PO 920 930 G [with DIS]) bought it from Germany to my old malfunctioned cluster (8PO 920 900 E [without DIS]).

I went to a VCDS dealer but he couldn't retrieve the data from the old cluster and the new one had no connection with the can-bus.

After that I went to an Audi dealer. They found 10 failures from the old cluster (broken) and they told me that they couldn't switch the clusters because they don't have the same part number (connection with the factory issues, etc). For the failures, witch I don't know them because they didn't give me the paper (Audi policy), I paid 50 Euros. Also they give a 450 euros price for the new cluster with the same part number.

That's all guys
Please if anyone can help, it will be appreciated.

Thanx
