Headlight Removal Procedure required please!!

I have seen it on the forum somewhere but can not find it. i just want to make sure i am removing the correct screws etc to take out the headlights as i have just ordered HID's. Any help most greatful!!

Remove the top 2 screws, slacken but DONT remove the two lower ones:

hi mate there is 2 screws on the top and then 2 more at the back at the bottom left and right side of both the lights in the corners

Cheers chaps, I will be attempting the install later this week!! I just wanted to make sure that I will be removing the headlights the correct way as I normally get frustrated and end up breaking something!!

I believe you have to remove the bumper on a B7!

New hid's fitted in under an hour. What a difference!! would recommend to anyone.

they are a must have i feel i had mine on the other night and where i would normaly have my fullbeam on i just did not need to they are far far better than standerd ones as you say a must have

Once the headlight is taken out, is it easy enough to re-insert the motorised levelers when reinstalling?

The motors are within the headlights, so you shouldn't have to touch them. They are in the sidelight/main beam compartment.

Don't know james just asking,i think the yellow fog lights(when switched on) look pants under the HID headlights,what size bulb is in the fog lights?

Fogs are an H11 bulb. I considered putting them in mine, but decided that for the amount of use they get (when is it ever foggy enough to use them really?) that £20 Nightbreakers were fine. They are more yellow yes, but I think that will give more usable light in foggy conditions, as the bright white from HID's will just reflect back from the moisture in the air.

If you want the colour to match for a 'style thing' then perhaps consider some LED's like Mattyboy did a couple of days ago?

Can you imagine driving towards someone with HID's in there fog lights. I think you will leave a trail of blind motorists behind you in trees ditches and fields. I think there bad enough in the headlight even when adjusted.

I always thought it was only french cars that had yellow lights!

And on a side note, my bro-in-law used to have an older mondeo which apparently required the bumper off for headlight bulb replacement, quality design there!

Spelling etc aint a problem mate but a pal of mine runs a citroen c5 and the bumper comes off that to change the bulb also.

that really is just madness having to do all that for a bulb and then you get pulled over by the fuzz for having a light out as it costs you a good £70 pounds to have it changed lol

My old supercharged Bora required taking the bumper off to change the drivers side bulbs as engine bay was so tight for space!

lol the mk3 mondeo is two pins to remove the headlight doodle,the mk1 mondeo as said is bumper off,the mk2 mondeo was easy too do ,my previous car a megane had a hatch in the wheel arch and was a real pain,,,and my mates r32 was a bumper off job,not sure why i wrote that but there we have it lol
