Hi chaps, I'm sure myself or some one had a thread on this but I can't find it, I want to order some lowering springs and some spacers, can some one suggest the best place to get them and what drop/spacers I need?

It's a 2010 BE 3 Door Manual 170 TDI

I want it as low and spaced out as I can get with hardly any rubbing.

Thanks

I would recommend Weitec coilies, as they're pretty cheap for what you get. I have it down fairly low at the front with 10mm spacers and I get no rubbing now that I've removed the arch screw. I also have 12mm spacers at rear and I get some rubbing, so I would advise 10mm rear even though I'm told 12 should be ok usually. As above, go with DPM!

Thanks guys.

As mentioned I'd stick with 10mm front and 12mm rear for the spacers but as for drop that's all down to personal choice really.

What look were you wanting to go for?

I did have the car lower than this, but it was a bit silly as the sump is so low. So I'm happy with this height now, looks spot on to me.

Just for info mate, I have 12mm on rear, and am too getting rubbing even after removing arch screws, should have gone for 10mm really, may even swap them.

I've been thinking the same, going 10mm but I don't know whether it will still rub or not. I guess I could test with my front spacers but I can't be bothered!

I had 10mm on my '08' S3 and there were no problems, and also didn't take the arch screws out on the 08 one

Running genuine S-Line 18" RS6 style rims on mine and it's lowered 50mm all round on H&R springs, just recently fitted H&R 10mm spacers on the front and 12mm on the rear and have had absolutely no rubbing whatsoever despite having 2 "rather large" people in the back on more than one occasion

guys... im running BBS CH 18x8 ET50... what spacers can i get on the rear without rubbing??

any help appreciated... cheers!!
