Jeeez.....that's some clever stuff you done mate. I've never tried wrapping, but would consider small areas like all those buttons to be fiddly as hell !! (not good for someone with clumsy fingers like me)

Looks decent!

I remember seeing that kind of wrapping on another A3... ah yes... S3-Dan's:

I just wrapped all four door inserts, gear surround and ash tray lid - bye bye misty/scratched Piano Black trim! :) Marvellous stuff!

I just had a couple of deep scratches on my door inserts, a few lights ones, and the annoying "misting" that doesn't polish out. In short, all six trim pieces were letting the interior down badly! Yep, carbon fibre 3M Di-Noc turned up this morning, so I set to it this afternoon and finished just in time for dinner. Got quite a bit left over though....it was tempting to have a carbon fibre pizza for dinner! :D My girlfriend's pet rabbits look great with carbon fibre tails...people did say this gets addictive!

its good stuff that , its the same stuff i used as well , oh it does ive done my cars key and keyring too just waiting on some more to come so i can do my b pillar and my wing mirrors

have you considered doing the bit between your split grilles? you know, near the numberplate? that could either look really good or really crap. but if it looks really crap you could always peel it off again!

I'm calling it a day for now, I've seen the results of people getting a bit vinyl-happy and don't want to fall into the trap! I've tidied up my tired looking trim pieces and achieved a different look, so will make do for now...I think...!

i still cant bring myself to try this how easy is it ?
There's no denying that it's a bit fiddly, particularly on tight corners. It just requires some patience. If it all goes wrong (as it did on my ashtray lid on the first attempt), you can just warm it up, peel it off, and start again with a new piece. The 30cm x 120cm roll I got was more than enough to do the ashtray lid (twice!), gear lever surround, and all four door inserts (not the whole handle as some have done in this thread). It cost just under £18 inc postage.

You mean if it looks really crap you won't have to do it lol

I'm looking at wrapping some engine bits and maybe the front valance. Also i want do the roof but not carbon.

Where as I commend your work on this for the effort & overall finish, job done well, but IMHO its a tad OTT for me, but if you like then who cares what we think.

That's fair enough mate, thanks for the comments :)

You see I like that attitude, acceptance of any comments good or bad without being offended, refreshing to see this mate, kudos. :)

I'm going to have to serve you up a saucer of milk soon, Nige! ;)

No mate wasnt directed at a recent heated discussion, its overall some people on forums do come on them solely for praise & when someone says they dont like what they've modded, they get all puffed up, just is honestly without any sarcasm, nice to see it can be taken without everything getting nasty.

PS. I do love my milk :p

Agree with all the above. The number of people who despise anyone who has four rings on the front of their car goes to show that though we all like our Audis on here, there are thousands of people out there who hate us, personally, before we've even uttered a word!

P.S. I'm not giving you an ounce until I have my mirror!
