Dyno day at Badger 5-November 6

Not on older s3's it wouldnt, doesnt work on my apy s3.
 
putting my handbrake up on my amk doesnt turn my haldex off, must be the switch is dodgy or something??
I have had mine dyno'd on a 4x4 dyno and the losses from engine to wheels were 80bhp. is this just the difference in running 4x4 or fwd on the dyno. Im not that knowledgeable on dyno's, perhaps it will be of benefit if i pop along!
 
Righty... lets make this all official and everything now the prices are sorted and there is the interest...

Dyno day at Badger 5... Looking to do this on Saturday 6th November, I will be at the unit from 9.00am to organise the cars... Runs will start from 9:30/10:00am... obviously it would be nice if you could all get there as early as poss but appreciate some people have to travel a bit... Runs take around 30mins with mapping potentially extending that a bit...

Here is how to find Badger 5...

Read carefully as satnavs will take you a little way up the road.... use streetview (Unit 2b, Queen Annes Gate, Oldends Lane, Stonehouse, Glos - Google Maps) to familiarise yourself with where to look out for... its really easy to get too from J13 of the M5...

Prices:
£35 to get on the dyno consisting of 3 power runs, VAGCOM logging and a print out... mapping is available for those that want it at £312 for Custom Code and £350 for Revo.... (both stage 1). Remaps typically come with before and after dyno runs... may have to juggle remaps and runs a bit depending on how quickly we can get through them :)

8L quattro's with be run with haldex disabled by pulling the fuse

things to understand..
losses's on dynos which measure coastdown losses, will be transmissions + wheels/tyres..
when I run haldex s3's in 2wd by pulling the fuse, the rear wheels dont turn, only the propshaft as far as the haldex clutch, so coastdown losses are transmission + prop + front tyres, hence a lower loss..

Wow never realised you guys are so close! I am only over in Ross on Wye if you guys know that one? I am not sure if I am working so will need to check but I am definatly interested in finding out how much BHP my car actually has.

Feel free to come along... we have quite a few on the list now (more than the original 10 we were looking at running) so time permitting we may be able to accommodate you...

As its the first dedicated dyno day at Badger 5 and not sure how quickly we can get through the cars its difficult to know exactly how many we can deal with on the day so trying not to disappoint anyone really...

I only live down in Tewkesbury so could pop up, although with the amount of people already down wouldn't be expecting a run, plus my s3 is standard to my knowledge lol would be good to chat to members though.

Thanks for clearing it up for me bill, i understand what your saying.

With regards to the rr day, are you happy for me to let you know if i can make it nearer the time as i will only be a spectator and i live in torquay so its a fair trek, so not sure if ill defo be coming up.
Would be nice to put names to faces, although should be able to do this at adi as there are quite a few on the list for that at the moment.....

TBH mate I would rather not say we can for sure... might be able to tag him on somewhere depending on when people turn up and how the day goes but would have to check with Bill about the mapping as IIRC some of the 2.0tdi's can be problematic to map... Bill will no doubt post up a bit later to clarify...

hi. i would need to check on what type ecu his is.. ppd's are'nt supported by revo for example with their troublesome dpf'
dsg also something to check.
if he can get his ecu number possibly off vagcom to email me to bill at badger5.co.uk i can confirm back

for the crack.... peeps could put their "estimated" power and torque before, and we can see who's closest, and who's highest/lowest etc etc

Just had car mapped, but let's see what it does against other stage 2 CC and REVO cars 1st before I commit to a map.. Ps, you better be puttin coffee and biscuits on too, as I'm a hungry ****** on a Saturday mornin.. Lol..

i reckon my car has a boost leak or something though atm either that or im just used to the power now completely.
