Ok, the time has arrived.....

I am looking to organise a Dyno day at Badger 5 towards the end of October, beginning of November depending on scale of interest... Places will be limited to 10 cars for this initial day as it will be one of the first ones run there so need to get a feel for it all and ensure all participants have a good time with it...

As Bill's dyno is 2wd it will be limited to ASN members with FWD cars and 8L quattro's (A3 TQS and S3's)...

Sorry, no 8P quattro's at this time....

I will post more details including times, prices and how to get to Badger 5 for those who don't know already....

It will be probably be on a Saturday...

I'm defo in on this one, just aslong as you dont mind a battered s3 :), also, do you think bill would be able to map my car the same day, may aswell get it done and shut Tim up, haha.

I'm sure he can Dani... I will discuss 'mapping on the day' with Bill and let you know...

I'd be interested in turning up for a mini ASN meet, but count me out for a dyno run, my car isn't quite ready, plus is 2WD runs ok with a Haldex performance controller?

I might just come for a chat and take some pics if that's ok Paul, don't think i'll be brave enough to dyno it so soon :) Unless the new head unlocks some power!

Yeah mate... switches off when you pull the fuse just like a normal one :)

No probs.... its not a huge parking area so spaces are limited but assuming peeps will come and go at different times it should all be good...l

I would be interested, price dependant

Would be good to show the results to Celtic Tuning, lol I wonder if they would give me a refund when I prove they over exagerate the power gains.

Count me in, if your not fully booked up, would be nice to meet you all and see what the old girls pumping out.

Paul is this RR day open fwd A4's as well if so i would like to be included.

Date dependant im up for this.
I mentioned it ages ago.

I'll come down if im not working for the crack :)

Prob miss out on the rollers too. Would like to have a chat about mapping with Billy Bob.

Would love to make this, but will have to let you know nearer the time Paul, so maybe put me down for attending rather than running.

I wouldnt be interested in doing a dyno run as i havent uprated anything after my previous run. however i would be interested in a mini meet as others have suggested. obviously dependant on space etc for parking, im sure this could be gauged nearer the time when you know final numbers.

stick me down Paul, date dependent but generally ok on the weekends............possibly two cars but ill have to let you know on that, if spaces run out by the time i get back to ya i'll prob just run the A3 up on the rollers

im interested. gettin a map next week so would be good to compare rollers!

I will sort prices, dates, times etc out tonight with Bill and update the thread with a list of everyone who has expressed an interest.... looking to be Saturday 30th Oct or Saturday 6th Nov....

If anyone has a preference then let me know...

<tuffty/>

As a gauge... of what the rollers read... (realistic) - sample S3 from the weekend, before - > after remap
Price will be £35/car for dyno run inc vagcom logging during runs, 3 power runs.

I'll be there, but no dyno for me. It's on there plenty enough as it is.

Always nice to meet fellow ASNers though....

Count me in. Not for a dyno as still be running my engine in but come up and meet some people.

Nice results and graph Bill.

Paul, canne do the 30th, so it would be the weekend after for my preference.

Are you happy to do remaps on the day if required Bill?

<tuffty/>

if its a saturday then I can do CC as well as REVO, if we do this on a sunday I can do REVO as CC will be closed for software supply.
We can do remap on the day if numbers are not excessive yes.
regards
bill

What are the prices for a remap on the day, and whats cc? l may have to sell my spare kidney hehe!!

Those prices are very good.
Just as a matter of interest, how come the engine to wheel loses on the graphs are only around 40bhp? i thought you would lose more like 60 - 80 bhp on a 4x4.
Sorry to go off on a tangent.

Price sounds good. Any idea what kind of time it will be? I work for a few hours on Saturdays so I might have to book the day off if I'm coming.

Put me down for a remap, dunno which one yet, gotta do some reading first.

Those are measured losses so accurate... an S3 is technically FWD until the haldex kicks in and thats switched off during the run... losses are slightly more than a 2WD A3 due to the extra drag of the bevel box and prop...

the dyno is 2wd, so not driving rear wheels, just the propshaft - haldex fuse pulled for runs on 8l s3's
