audi s3 210bhp vs 225bhp ?

My 210bhp s3 gets remapped on wensday,

revo re-mapp say it will be 260bhp,

motorsport developments say 245bhp

basicly revo say they are both the same when remapped

motorsport developments say the 225bhp will always be better can anyone help me please thanks

Just got my 210bhp AMK remapped today and it made 260 on the first dyno run, then 247 then 243. I think the heat was a factor in the second and third runs, but I'm well chuffed overall - it was a very fun drive home. I wouldn't worry - it'll definitely put a smile on your face.

They remap to the same power mate, so dont worry, we all know though pre-facelfit is better haha.

i asked custom code about AMK vs BAM, and they said that they would map different, i have always heard they would map the same

AMK and BAM are pretty much mechanically the same... ECU versions and base code will differ but essentially map up the same.... cars will differ however...

Had 2 LCR's in this weekend, one (210 model) had a stage 2 CC map with a FMIC and other stuff done to it, made 254bhp... Keefy's S3 as you can see by the graph made 260bhp on a CC stage 1 with no mods... an otherwise completely std car....

that map by bill looks impressive, the proof is there. although torque peaks very late. id consider the long journey now i've seen this. what does he charge? id much rather support a forum members business.

early 210's dont have wideband ecu controls, so are "dumber" ecu's, but they will achieve the same power output all other things being equal.

I dont know why they quote they make less.. they dont when I see them. wellys is also 259/260bhp on early ecu
the 2 x LCR's one a 210 one a 225 this weekend for power runs & logging, one had cc stg2 apparently (previous owner had it put on somewhere), and it made 255bhp, and after a little ign tweaking I got it just over 260bhp, same as his friends 225 with unknown map on it. Very different power curves between them.. CC2 had a lot more torque, but headline power figures converge at 260bhp on every k04 based car I have seen so far.

CC told me that the reasong for the difference was that there the injectors are slightly different, as is the inlet and some of the boost tracking but that the softwasre itself doesnt cause the difference... anyway, not that it adds up to much i guess

The results are the same on the ones I have seen. Never heard this line of reasoning before personally. It aint how it is in performance terms
