hi guys!

after all this rear light talk i just went to B&Q to get some bits and saw a 60 plate phantom black S3!! so i parked back to back with it to take a couple pics..

ive seen these new lights and was thinkin even though they are very much like the MY09 lights they may look better on a darker car... well they ****** do!! gotta get some!! + the new facelift wing mirrors, pillars and RNS-e are sexy... made me want a fresh :s3addict:!!

it also turned out i know they guy, well his mate more who has a brand new TTRS in Ibis!

anyway couple pics!!

how much better do they look against phantom!!!

Those new rear lights do look really good on a black car. Thanks for getting the photos aswell

love them on the dark colours! The new style wheels are not doing it for me though, S3 and black edition have the sames ones now to make the S3 even less special looking!

i like the new wheels but i agree with what you have said lee they need to do something a bit more unique for the s3 so you can tell its a s3 not a s-line

Ooohh the lights are gorgeous! We saw SYZYGY's car in the flesh and I have to agree with above, the lights, pillars and RNS-e are fantastic!

The Pillars are piano black! So are parts of the interior! Look in the Detailing part of the Forum at HAZ1's car! Hes upgraded his pillars! Stunning!

RNS-E is the Stereo/Sat Nav etc with SD slots and big screen

Agree with you Lee. The S3 should have its own black edition alloys. As it just looks like the A3 Black Edition. Something a bit more special. Hated seeing Black edition S3 with the black edition RS4 style alloys.

mine are getting laminxed anyway makes no odds my car wont need to be any darker :p

Ahh thats fair enough Phil. Well let me know what you decide to do either way. I'll be getting the guy who tinted my windows put the lamin-x on my car. So i'd probably just screw it up haha :)
Also not good to hear you wont make it to ADI mate gutted

Anyone done the piano black pillar mod? Any specialist tools required?

I'll be honest those wheels originally didnt bode well with me but on the 8P they really do look nice, surprised me & I want some new wheels.

TBH, I was up at Glasgow Audi on Saturday & I didn't like them as much seeing them for real. Kinda heading to the newer RS6's

Think they're a bit less 'dumbo'

Put the same wheels in a 19 version and you have pure sex! Sorry, but I love that wheel and only in the 19

Lovely wheels / Lights but it isn't the those that I'm drooling over but 'Curry Special' in the background. A good 'Ruby' in the East of London \ Essex.

Rye will hopefully not what I'm on about! :o.k:

I changed my b pillars the other week. took no more than 10 minutes, really easy.

I think it was a 2mm drill bit I used to drill out the 3 rivets on each pillar, then just slide and pull them off.
Slide the new ones in, use a pop rivet gun with 1/8 rivets to secure the new ones in.

Anyone can do it
