Hazey finish after hand polish

Hi guys,

I give the motor a wash the other day and then polished it with Auto Glymm Super Resin polish and a microfibre cloth.

After a quickish polish i was left with a hazey finish which in black looks even more bad lol...

Any ideas why this has happens and how to correct it and prevent it?

Did you do it when the paintwork was warm/hot?Sounds like not all the polish has been removed

if you have a polishing machine, you could apply a wet mop bonnet and a bit of soap, then machine polish with that. Can be hard work to polish out by hand and soapy water makes a very smooth finish with no burning of the surface.

these polishers are cheap from motor shops or argos etc, I got a good one for £30, its brilliant.

does sound like you haven't rubbed hard enough.

Ye i did it in 23c direct sunlight...I'm guessing thats bad?
