Ideally i want 18" RS6 Phase 1 alloys as i think they suit it well. Where is the best place to get them from? does anyone have any on here?

I am also wanting to lower the car around 40mm once the RS6's are on, what would you people think?

Can anyone let me know if they have any RS6's going?

Feel free to give me any help, Ideas, Thoughts of the car?

Regards

Bailey

James where you been man! RS6 good choice take it your not to fussed on the new style?
Get some H&R or Eibach springs from DPM. Car would look ace with them on and the new alloys.
Have you tried wheelbase or ebay for the alloys?

what are RS6 phase 1?

The older RS6 ones

I have been in hiding ash, been so busy mate its unreal, Work, Mrs etc etc. Feels like i have neglected my car so its time to show her some treatment again.

I have checked all over for the alloys, think i need 5 x 112 and 45 offset, i will check wheelbase, are they anygood?

yeah them spings look good, will i just need springs lowering 40mm?

I saw the pics of the damage to your car aswell mate to that bloke pulling out on ya! (NOT IMPRESSED)

Both the Older and newer style RS6s will suit your car well! Ive used Wheelbase in the past and would use them again. Ebays always good for used older shape RS6s. Ive just sold a set sorry.

like the car think it needs vortex or sline bumper tho. i lake the standard wheels

Thats a shame, i am after a set, i dont really know how the sizing offset etc works? will any ET offset fit on my car?

The standard wheels are ok, I prefer others though, i am selling my current wheels and tyres if you know anyone!

hi mate i have a set of rs6 alloys, they have 235 45 19 tyres on them, however i wouldnt mind getting rs4 alloys for mine!! so i was either going to sell my alloys and keep tyres and just fir tyres to new alloys...or....new set of rubber n alloys!!! would these be any good to you?

need to flog my old wheels seen a mk5 golf with a set on the other day they looked better than they do on the a3's

Get your RS6/s-line alloys from ebay. Don't buy reps though, you'll eventually find some good condition OEM/genuine (Ronal) ones at a good price.
I did, after waiting for a few weeks.

Also, be aware that a lot of the s-line alloys on ebay are for A4 etc and they're a different offset and if they already have tyres fitted they'll probably be a different profile to the tyres for A3 s-line alloys.
Not sure how much of a difference it'll make, but might as well get the A3 ones as they're the correct ones for your car.

As a guide I paid around £300 for genuine s-lines with tyres.

As aythreee said above ebay a good place to start always see genuine up there at a good price.
Also A4 RS6 alloys will fit the A3 fine, just fill the wheel arch a bit more.

Aww haha good to hear the business is going well mate :) Wheelbase seem fine Sarah said she used them and so has Warren he bought RS4 for his S3. Thats the correct 5 x 112 and 45 offset.

Yeah just lowering springs should be fine, but im sure if im wrong some of the guys/girls will correct me.
I know not the best looking car right now. Should have it back soon though :D

Anyone have pics of the new RS6 on a sportback 19 inch

Do a search mate there a photo on here of an S3 sportsback with the new RS6...Ok is not an A3 but will give you an idea

Compare to the A3 s-lines the tyre will probably be a little wider (235) and the wheel's offset a bit lower too (ET45)??? So they'll stick out about 15mm further.
Not necessarily a bad thing looks wise I guess.

Is it good to go for 235 tires? I asked this thing in a thread and people told me I should stick to 225/45/17. It shouldn't be different for 18", except that it is 225/40 instead of 225/45. No?

What are guys thinking! Do not put RS6's near that car.....it'll will just look like every other A3 in the country! Of course it is your choice but 6months time you'll regret it! Gather your cash and get some BBS rims and some 50mm springs in

I know 225/45/17 won't fit on 18"! I was just saying that the normal size is 225/45/17 and 225/40/18.
And since 235 was in the discussion, I said that I have asked before (for me) if 235/45/17 it's ok for an A3 or I'll better stick to 225/45/17. And people told me to stick to 225. That is why I asked if it's ok to go with 235/40/18 instead of 225/40/18.

I have genuine RS6 wheels and the correct size tyres are 225/40/18.
I banged my head against walls trying to find out if other sizes would fit and blah blah blah.
In the end I made myself go for a fit that DEFINITELY works.

I do like BBS wheels but theres something about the RS6 wheels what i really like and when lowered it will look amazing. The BBS alloys do look very good aswell and i am a big fan of them but they are quite expensive for what they are, next year i will be buying a 2.0 tdi A5 all being well so i want to save my money there aswell so if i get the RS6 wheels they will tide me over until i get an A5.

In regards to the old and new rs6 wheels i still prefer the old ones for some reason, the new are very nice but i just like the look of the old. I should be betting the wheels this Sunday all being well

im sort of in the same boat with the lowering, i have 50mm eibach sportlines on an se, and want to get the stance as best i can without any rubbing does anyone know if BBS CK 19x8.5 would fit on the front and rear with no rubbing or would it be a better idea to get 8.0 at the front? (not intending to hijack thread!)

agreed. go for something different. i saw an Akoya TT mk1 with R8 V10 reps. they didn't suit the TT but if you get the insides in gunmetal grey and polish the faces they'll look mean. i was contemplating the same on my car but i've got the 18" BBS style wheels that they put on the GTI Ed30 and i'm very happy with those. would defos like someone else to try the look tho

thanks for the link mate, I am buying some from drnutta off this forum on sunday, they are off a 2007 A3 they are genuine and are in mint condition.

I am now thinking of lowering the car, has anyone got any ideas for me? I was thinking of going 40mm all around with springs and shocks or coil overs?

Has anyone got any good kits i could have a look at please? Can anyone offer any advice?
