Not helpful but i am supposed to be getting mine next week but the guy sorting it has gone off for the week unexpected! having a few kittens at the moment..
I've got the hire car offered and was in convo about it as soon as the program was brought into effect (I'd already been waiting 5 months by the time they started the program).
It was then a couple of weeks before it all got sorted. Mine was delivered to my work place in Bracknell from Oxford and had only delivery miles on the clock when it reached me.
If you've been waiting months already then pressure and get a date set. If you need any other info just ask

I asked for a temp car Monday 19 July dealer got back to me on Wednesday and said come in Friday (the 23rd) and sorted one out for me.

Lets hope them can manage it with mine and diamonds then as we have about that lol
Same here. They promise me over and over that i will the car at the beginning of Septembr even show me the e-mail that say approved. I'll give them till Thursday and if i don't hear from hem will give them a call see what going on.
Finger crossed mine and Richy will get the next week.

Go for it lol my mate was given an s4 last Thursday but he is waiting delivery for a Q7 though, he asked for the r8 they said yh they would if it wasn't in the work shop from the previous customer they lent it to who had a bump in it the other month!

Mine was ordered first week of May 2010 delivery was Nov 2010, then Dec, Feb March now April 2011. I have requested info for the Audi Mobility Programme from Provecta lease company, who ordered the car, to see if I qualify, but they won't acknowledge my emails - even contacted Audi UK twice by email, still no reply. Went into local Audi dealer (Stoke Audi) who confirms that this scheme is running and that they have customers on it.
What kind of car did you get?

I got an Audi A4 2.0TDI 140 with sat nav, SD card connections, parking sensors (is that the tech pack?). Not a bad car. Already done 2,400 miles since getting it delivered just over a month ago. ONLY 3 - 3.5 months left to get the A3...
I have two friends in the same situation (Q5 & A3 Sportback on orders placed in April '10) They both continue to be messed around with shifting dates etc.
It's ridiculous that a company the size of Audi cannot get on top of this. A six month+ wait for "everyday" cars is plain stupid. I've not heard from my dealer since I ordered almost 2 months ago. No build date. No delivery date.
They have us over a barrel though - If you want their cars, accept the stupid lead times...

My friend works at Audi in Bexely and showed me the current waiting list for most of their models.. Basically Audi are so overwhelmed with orders, they cannot meet demand. Not just for the A3 BE but if you want an A5,Q5, Q7 then you going to have to wait until mid/late 2011 for delivery..
Crazy, they could make so much more money if they actually had the stock that the customers wanted.. :s
I ended up just taking one of the Ex-demo A3 BE's..

Spoke to them and as i thought the guy i deal with has had a close death in the family so wont be in, he is due to call in tomorrow and the guy covering was going to get it authorized then, im to call back in the afternoon. he said it shouldn't be an issue though they have cars there i could have.

Now getting an A4 SE TDI, as the A6 Avant is too big for my needs. Pick up on 2nd September.
My BE is still on course to be built on week 45.

EDIT: or are S3's less affected?
S3's do seem to be less affected for some reason... possibly because you pay more for an S3 and there's slightly more profit to be made... lol

Well still no sign of a loaner car, told there will be something there / sorted tuesday. Poor guys been burying someone close so i'm not going to kick up any fuss, Sh*t stuff happens eh. Told the guy thats standing in though that Diamond got an A6 so i wanted an A8 lol.

Just had the email nobody really wants!
Opened my hotmail to see that I had a message from a contact being that of the gentleman who sold me my car, brought a massive smile to my face before opening the email as I was anticipating a build date. . How wrong could one be?
I opened the email for it to say, "Just a short email to confirm that I am still waiting on a build date, I will let you know as soon as I do".
Talk about being up and down in the matter of seconds! It surely can't be much longer?
With all the stories on this thread about the lengthy waits for everyone I'm starting to want my car ready for March 1st and and have the new plate rather than have the new car for a month or so!
A friend of mine put a deposit down on a high spec. Seat Ibiza (Little bit different I know) about 2 weeks ago, its ready for collection tomorrow? This doesn't seem fair haha

We managed to jump on a pre-order and re-specced it in July. Car being built w/c 4 October, delivery 2-3 weeks after. A3 Sportback 2.0Tdi Quattro 170, S-Line Black Edition Phantom, Tec Pac Comfort pack storage, Open Sky, TPMS... Fingers crossed. Meanwhile For Sale (or we will PX) 2008 08 2.0Tdi Q Sline Phantom full leather 20 spokes, Open sky rear park TPMS 22,000 miles currently. Dealer will ask £19,995!!! Balance of 3 yr warranty, with Service pack (just serviced) will need 2 tyres in about 2k miles.

Think I'd quite like an email like that! I'm beginning to think that either the dealership's burned down or the salesmans done a runner with my deposit. I''ve heard NOTHING since I placed the order.

I would contact him/her then, even if its just a quick email like I had to say no news, just makes you feel that you haven't been forgotten about.
I will cry if this is the case. Single pipe looks balls compared to the fat dual exhaust they put on the 1st gen BE... apologies to the single exhaust owners, this is only in my opinion of course!

I know what you mean but i look at it from the other angle, all cars have dual exhausts nowadays, i think its saying something different and i also think it stands out more as a single, as i have said before its got a retro feel about it.
All the more reason to get yourself a new back box though if you dont like the look of it.
