Track day people

Done 2 since buying the S3 :) both times at Brands Hatch for novice sessions.

Actually going to Bedford Autodrome next week for an open pit evening session. Good times

ive just booked mallory park for 8th sept!!! £99 for open pitlane morning session

In my S3, I've done Rockingham, Donington and CastleCoombe, I've been to Bedford Autodrome also, but didn't venture onto the track.

I did Brands Hatch novice day last November! Great fun, thinking of doing abingdon airfield in september as never done an airfield!
Feel perhaps they would be more fun as there is less of the initial fear factor of taking on a circuit like Brands with big shiny barriers :-S

Not been out in the S3, but the Ibiza (now RIP :crying:) and I have been on about 25 over the past few years- Castle Combe (7), Bedford (5), Donnington (3), Cadwell Park (3), Lydden Hill (3), Brands Hatch (2), RAF Marham (2), Goodwood (1). Off to Snetterton in November in the new Cordoba :eyebrows:

Favourite has to be Cadwell Park, and I try to get out 5 or 6 times a year although this year hasn't been good for a variety of reasons - mainly replacing the Ibiza with the Cordoba and not quite having the Cordoba ready.

Only driven the Nurburgring on a tourist day which is a must. Been a spectator at most of the other tracks for public days and the best (or worse, depending on how you view it) track I saw for action was Castle Combe. It was like a Demolition Derby! Count 13 or 14 crashes that day.

Silverstone
Brands hatch
Castle comb

Every time ive killed my brakes.

You need better brakes then, not stickers! :)

HA HA,
I have ,
The stickers may well be the problem, I get two or three big press's and the next time the pedal says hard but like im using teflon coated discs.
Ive tried new pads... new discs... new top notch fluid.
After i leave them to cool they are ok again but... work them hard and same thing happens.

Done Bruntingthorpe,Castle Combe,Croft,Donington Park,Silverstone

is tht all it cost!? i was under the impression it was in the region of £200 for a uk track session.

i've only done the nurburgring, last week actually, but since that im definately going to be doing more trackdays! after new brakes!

If you re-read it's only a half day.

My trip to Snetterton on Sun 14th Nov is only £89 open pitlane full day. Downside is that weather may be bad.

In general, weekday trackdays are cheaper than weekends, and in my experience the standards of driving are better. Trackday on a weekday means people tend to have taken a day off to go and therefore are serious about it.

Weekend days tend to be more mixed, and as Westle said earlier, the Castle Combe Action Days (where you just pay per 15 minutes) are like demolition derbies.

I been to Cadwell in S3 few months back, also done donnington and silverstone

Just putting it out there!!!!

Why don't we organize an AUDI-SPORT track day event????????
That would be a pretty good way of everyone getting to meet each other and to check out each others wheels.

Goodwood (Scooby), Goodwood (S3), Brands Hatch Indi (in my ex partners MK4 Golf GTI)
