157 minutes into the season.........

ENG v PAK - 4th npower Test at Lord's - 11am Thursday 26/08/10

The series stands at 2-1 going into the final match; with Pakistan having found a bit of form (and Mohammad Yousuf), and England having had a bit of a wobble in theirs, it's set-up to be a good game. As before, live, irreverent and greatly amusing ball-by-ball commentary will be streaming at TestMatchSofa.com - starting at (around) 10:45 on Thursday morning. [NB: Commentary may (is likely to) contain moments of strong language]

Fixed

PS> Sorry, this was a bit of a thread-jack; and yes, it's another plug for the fine folks at TMSofa, but more peeps really should give Cricket a chance.

You need to support a new team then...just change to whoever is winning, manchester scum united or chelsea. It seems to be what everyone else does these days.

Or...come support Leeds with me! Now there's a real team, haha

Im also a Liverpool fan and tbh they are doing well with what they have got. Hopefully they will bring some academy kids through to save the day. Those academys must cost a fortune to run and seem to produce very little.

Think the net investment in players is 1.5 million over 3 years the rest has been self funded from the sale of other players :(

Man city had 63 million sat on the bench think liverpool average 10 - 15 million on the bench lol

Harry Kewell spoilt that possibility for me.

No we are not doing good with what we've got.
I think we should've done A LOT better last night with what we've got.
When you look at our starting 11 against city's there was no logical reason why they should've outplayed us as much as they did.

Also, we like to pretend that we are short on talent (AKA "what we've got"), and ok our bench isn't great, but Reina, Johnson, Gerrard, Torres, Masch, Cole would walk into pretty much any team's starting 11.... even Kuyt and Agger would come close to doing the same.
It's the same old story I'm afraid. We are just not good enough for some reason. We'll be lucky to finish 5th this season.

Ok, maybe i'm a bit ****** off after last night's display but I've seen nothing for well over a season that makes me think any different.
In fact, apart from the season before last when we finished 2nd, i've seen nothing for 20 years that makes me think any different.

ManUre, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Man City (even Everton and Villa (up to the other day)) are getting better, while we stay the same or get worse.

And why the hell did we let Aquilani go out on loan??? We haven't got the squad to allow for things like that.

Now, where's the nearest roof edge for me to go and play on.

Mascherano wasn't in the team, because he wants to leave! I think that played a part in pools poor form, the team is not 100% happy.

how bad will liverpool be kicking themselves that martin o neil left villa after them had signed a new manager ??? I know who id have prefered

I put him in the same bracket as Roy.

I wanted Hiddink, Rijkaard, someone who has experience of managing a "top" team in today's game.
