advice on s line tdi tdv

hi

ive read that tdv models have the diesel particulate filter, am i right. would you advise against a tdv or are all the diesels tdv,

also would it mention on the log book that it is a tdv.

I intend on using the car local no motorways on my journey to work, but a couple of dual carriage ways.

Am i just being paranoid that they go wrong or is that the case.

the car i have seen is a high mileage car.

any advice appreicated,

coming from a very reliable toyota i dont want to get stuck with something with high maintenance,

the car is full dealer service history.

The TDV versions have 233 BHP instead of the standard 204 BHP, they also have better MPG ratings (more power and better economy!). I think all the 3.0 (both TDI and TDV) diesels have Quattro. Having spoken to an Audi gearbox expert he seemed to think that all TDV tiptronic versions have the ZF gear boxes which don't break down - he said the others especially the CVT versions are in all the time for rebuilds.

My 3.0 TDI is the TDV and i love it.

i should have said the car is a 2.0 i can only dream about the 3.0. insurance is a bit crazy around where i live.

i also have a 2.0TDI TDV and would be interested in the reply to this thread.
i've had a cat back performance exhaust fitted but i want to know if it is just a cat or a particulate filter.
this is because i am very interested in decatting with a straight through pipe or 'punching through' the cat.

also, if anyone knows the best place to get a performance clutch for my A4 (B7) 2.0TDI (2006), i'd be interested in knowing more.

My take on it is...

1.9TDI and 2.0TDI (140ps only)

Jan 05 to Dec 05 - non TDV vehicles

Dec 05 to end - TDV vehicles

CO2 Emmissions for each dropped from 158g/km to 153g/km with the TDV model (2.0tdi figures)

The only 2.0 TDI with a DPF is the 170ps version which is a non TDV model

What's the difference between a 2.0 TDI and a 2.0 TDI TDV? I have the TDV but thought it was a spelling mistake on the website when I bought it!
