Hello all

What options are about for nicer seats in the B5?

Do any seats from other models fit?

Obviously you have S4 leathers (noice!) but they are mega expensive :noway:

Rs4, S4, Quattro Sport Half Leather im sure there will be others as well

B5 Passat front seats APPEAR to have the same rails as ours so may fit, but don't know for definite. Rears I imagine are completely different. B4 (Audi 80) fronts should fit too.

Kewl cheers!

some interesting stuff to look at there

what colour are your cloth seats pedro

had a search but cant find any pics of these - any one got a pic??

Not digging them grey clothes... similar to the ones i have

OOO like the half leathers!

Anything will fit if you have the skill and determination(or large wallet)

Currently been looking for some custom front leathers for a while, have a couple of sets in my sights right now.

You want the half leather recaro's that are in mine there hard to come buy but you might have a bit of a struggle as they are electric but the slides are manual they are defiantly the best in the b5 buy far will try and upload sum pics in next few days so you can have a ganders !!

Is the rear a 3 headrest style?
Was it a direct fit, or did you need to tweak it due it being from an avant ?

I'm guessing its a saloon interior, as there doesnt look like a centre headrest?

It was an option on the TQS and S4, so it'll be saloon spec fittings with the two headrests...

I wish I had the recaro's! Its funny that you have the prefacelift clocks though. I have the ones with the digital clock.
Are the dash buttons pre or post facelift?

They're not prefacelift clocks.

Digital clock came in with immo3, sometime in the middle of 2000, nearly a year after the facelift occured.

trouble is I find the recaros above in either leather or cloth arent actually any more supportive during "spirited" driving than the stock seats I have.
best thing I bought was a CG lock. still planning on trying to freshen up the seats though.

Im with you on this one mate, especially at the going rate for an RS4 leather interior.

Im going for "old skool" Recaros instead, awaiting a delivery then all will be revealed.......

Yeah I have one of these "extra special limited run off edition blah blah blah 180bhp edition 1.8T's" too. Just my clocks have a digi clock not the analogue like the prefacelift. I notice it has the facelift DIS though so as Aregon says the clock must have been updated later.

It wasnt a "run off" model, it was produced from the start of the facelift till the end of B5 production, ie 2 years.

It was a special edition though. Only the TQS got the boleros, the half leather interior, the white dials, the 180hp engine etc.

I would not really say it was a special edition as it was just sold along side all the others and was not limited to a specific number. It was just another model, just like how the s4 was the only model to get Avus alloys it was not really a special edition either.

If it was a special edition it would not have then been sold throughout the whole facelift.

I think its just some people on these forums think its more special than it really is which make people believe it was a special edition.

Ye perhaps your right. Other countries got 1.8T Quattros throughout the B5 run, which had the normal "sport" pack, same that comes on the FWD 1.8T Sports. The TQS was "special" insofar as it was the only UK 1.8T model to have quattro, and its trim (seats, wheels etc) was unique to that model alone.

It also has some suspension tweaks lifted from the S4, which other quattros (ie the v6's and tdi's) didnt get.

Mines a special edition and it's a yellow one lol couldn't resist but like you say seems everyone on here has one

mines special. at least it is now I have changed, suspension, brakes, bushes, geometry, steering wheel, charge cooling, wheel/tyre size and am about to change the engine!!

but I still have an analogue clock (facelift Vreg Nov 99 Reg date) prefer it to the digi
