CAN YOU PLEASE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?

I have the 1.9TDi SPORT and want the 1.8T backbox with the twin exit exhaust pipes on either side.

Surely there are a few write ups?

thanks!!

There's loads of write ups on this!

Give chrisash32 a PM as he's got a 1.8T system for sale I think. Besides that you need a new lower rear valance with twin exits.

as above, new lower valance, this is held on with screws, 2 in each wheel arch, and 1 either side about 25 cm from the wheel arch, and then a few underneath

you will need to remove 2 plastic covers from under neath the car

fitting the exhaust is easy with an extra pair of hands, just unbolt it from the hangers and undo the clamp that links it to the cat pipe, just remember to un hook the hand brake cable i think it is, the new exhaust just bolts back up, just make sure you have all the hangers and 2 extra 13mm bolts

As scott says, a 1.8T twin exhaust will fit straight on the 1.9TDi front exhaust section. I did mine recently.

Apart from the exhaust and suitable valance I also needed 1 new rear box exhaust hanger, two bolts for the hanger, a heatshield to go above the offside rear box and 4 speed nuts to hold the heatshield in place.

thanks for the help lads

now, I take it I need the complete 1,8T exhaust from cat back?
What joint is at the cat?

Its just a sleeved joint with 2 clamps that are part of the exhaust, no extra bits needed there.

Could you give me a rough cost for this mod, i`m interested in it to....Any chance of any pics of the rear of your avant...Mines an avant quattro...

U can also get a 2.5tdi full exhaust system, I got a 2.0 tdi from B7 BRD and fitted no bother. And make sure u get a fwd one, quattro wont fit if urs is fwd!

Richie if yours is a quattro you will need to make sure the exhaust you get is from a quattro too as a FWD one will not fit.

Its hard to put a cost to the mod as it depends how much you can get the exhaust and your choice of rear valance for. Exhausts generally go for between £60 and £120 it just depends how lucky you are.

As for a pic I'll see what I can do.

which rear bumper did you fit?

The basic one? sport? votex? or ABT?

I have a Votex front bumper, Votex side skirts and maybe an ABT rear twin exit lower bumper on the way. What do you reckon? will it look right?

thanks

OK so I bought chrishash's 60mm tipped twin exit exhaust !!

and I am going for the ABT Rear for now

but have found a decent supplier in the usa for the votex rear. I need to order the votex rear grilles for the twin exit. Does anyone know the part number?

Like this....

£67 for bumper, £55 to spray and £400 for exhaust.

and i Plan to do it again on my new avant although still cant find the right bumper code.

I got my conversion done with the ABT rear
cost a couple of hundred but it does transform the car ALOT
So I have ended up with Votex front with cupra lip
Votex side skirts and kept my door blades
ABT rear skirt with 1.8T exhaust conversion
Xenon headlight upgrade
