Hey Guys.... just got the rear 2009 facelift lights fitted and wanted to show you .. weather has S**T and raining so apologies for the bad pics but was taken with my Iphone4 so not the best but thanks to Boydie for sorting me out with the lights.. let me know what ya think....

Will try and post a night time pic up as they actually look the nuts at night with side lights on .. much better than the old ones IMO... let me know what you think and all comments are welcome..good or bad ;)

The next thing on the list is getting some coilies and then wheels redone in Pearl white so will again post some more pics up as soon as that is done.. thanks guys..:eyebrows:

Looking good mate. The rear lights are one of the best mods you can do, change the whole rear end.
The old ones are sh*t fair play, couldnt wait to change mine:) Once again looking good mate
And glad your happy with them and sounds like some good plans with the alloys.
 
Thanks bro.... yeh well happy with them and as said Boydie sorted me out so was pleased with that.... yep yep mate cant wait to get her sitting low and sort me wheels out... any news on when your car will be fixed bro?..
 
Looking sweet, looking at doing that mod myself how much did you manage to get the pair of lights for looked at Audi and they want near enough £180!!!? did you need to do and vagcom coding or was it a simple straight swap? cheers Tom

simple straight swap if you have a 3door. 5door need vagcom & new loom

Good yeah you got a good deal. Dont worry not long wait now!! Well i stopped using accident exchange as they were just crap. Taking too long to do anything, only thing they did was get some one to call me about making an injury claim...My insurance want to deal but Quinn Direct are **** and dont fill me with confidence. So gone to a company called helphire who are calling me today to confirm a book in date with my local Audi. So hopefully start repairs next week. Doing my heading to be honest, the guy said he not claiming but disputing liability? Which just tells me he knows he at fault because if you believe your 100% not at fault you will claim.

ahhhh that sucks dude.... its always a pain in the **** when things happen let alone take fooking ages to resolve.. I feel your pain.. lets hope that the repairs start next week and that its done and dusted.... Im sure it will be . Thanks again bro for ya comments
 
the lights are looking smart!!
was one of the first things i did to mine when i got her, really freshens up the back end!!

Yo bro..thanks for that... yeh as Bensk said its literally a staright swap... 10 min job max and its a huge improvement on the rear .... def money well spent on this mod..... I got mine second hand as audi were wanting 190 for the pair... keep your eye out on other forums and the Bay for some but i know they are light goldust so may be worth just getting them from audi.. trust me its worth it
 
Is it just my pc or are the pics pretty small?? A couple of inches across?
Too small for me to see properly.

...... bigger what?.. only joking haha sorry mate .. I know the pics are pretty gash as they were taken and uploaded from my Iphone4 so not great , ... going to try and take some others and will upload them with my camera including a few night shots...

looks ace mate, been searching ebay high and low for a cheap set, Think i'l just need to bite the bullet and go to the dealers.
 
the 3 door ones aint to shabby either. As your car now proves :)

ive been searching and searchng and searching too but none out there so might have to go to the stealers to but a very easy mod so cant be bad at all
 
I think the MY11 rears are darker so you now have an excuse to go the dealer route :)

haha... na mate going to dare to be different going to have my wheels done in pearl white with chrome polished rim think it will looked good (hopefully)
 
i think slightly off white rather than actual white white...

was thinking pearlescent white which is more like an off white, speckled white with a chrome polished lip just thinking something a bit diff to the norm dark dude..
 
looks much better mate well done.. one of the best mods you can do to the rear end... :applaus:

Always nice when you have someone at audi to get discount... just curious mate how much he quoted you?... I see you work for a company called simply dents?.. bodywork place?..
 
Are the new MY11 rear lenses slightly darker?? Someone else mentioned this above...can anyone verify this? Part numbers? Will the newer darker ones still swap like the normal facelift lights?

Yeah the MY11 rear lights on the 3 door are slightly darker again to the MY09 lights. The parts numbers were posted up by someone I think, if not just ring an Audi dealer....

Hey mate yeh the MY11 are slightly darker but still a direct replacement for our motors.... Just didnt wanna pay near 200 pounds for them so got my 09 ones second hand dude....

Ok, cool cheers matey. I just wanted to be sure.

I spoke to audi today and they weren't too sure, they said the part numbers seem to be the same as the 09 rears but with a 'B' on the end. They said they would order one side in, if correct, would then order the other side in for me. Will keep u posted!

Thanks mate..at least audi are being helpful... my local garage said 'no we cant help you'... they are a direct fit should look good on your motor mate as I see your doing the dark route which looks lush... keep me posted mate

mmm, parts that are revisions/updates have an incremented suffix. You would thought a partsman would know that. Probably erring on the safe side. TBH, I couldnt see much difference in colour between 2009&2011 lights

TBH mate there isnt much difference and because they are the same price it would be purely down to personal taste... you would only really know the difference once a 09 and 11 were parked up next to each other IMO but because they are newer i am sure people will want to get them over the 09 lights... I am happy with 09 lights.
