Any news on the RS3 guy's? Anyone know for sure if it will/wont happen?

You're very behind lol. It's definitely happening. There are mules pounding the 'Ring with full bodykits on as we speak. Will probably be a run out model of the current shape. I'd anticipate early-mid next year

Would be nice,and likely very interesting but I'll believe it when I see it.

Also local dealer has indicated it will be in sportback only.....whether or not that's true I don't know.

Why would they only do it in the poo sportback bodystyle? Please do a 3 door audi ive been praying and saving for this car forever!!

was talking to a audi dealer a while back, he had just been out to germany. what he was saying is that that they have done test and been talking about it, but they are not thinking about launching it any time soon! he said possible 2012 at the earliest, but he might be saying that as he is not allowed to reveal a date!!!!

My sportback comment was really only dealer hearsay,so I couldn't verify it at all.

It's the same hearsay though as "it's here next year"....next year...next year etc.,so who knows.

Other marques are doing an extreme version of their hottest model, FOCUS RS/RS500, Meg R26.R, 1seriesM, even the Golf R.

Will be a shame for the very successful 8P platform not to have a bonkers last hooray version.

Totally agree with you there Paul. Would be a big disappointment. I like to think the RS3 will come out before the 8P Platform stops. As said its been very very successful. But all the rumors over the years im waiting for Audi to confirm. Ford have not long bought out the RS and now the RS500. 8P Platform needs something special and its finishing soon so Audi need to hurry up
