Hi Guys,

Been searching with no luck so far.....does anyone have any url's for resonated and non-resonated TBE zorst for S3 SB in audio/vid format?

Want to get a feel how loud the non-res is......is it suitable with wee fella (1 yr) on board and the odd client....even if at low revs?

Alternatively how quite is the resonated - and does it still come to life when pushed hard?

Thanks gents,

From what I have heard from Milltek themselves is that with the addition of the downpipe and non-res exhaust is very loud lol won't stop me from getting one though - just warning you!

Also, with the TBE, you will require a stage 2 map to remove warning lights from your dash!

It's not that loud - Milltek tend to air on the side of caution with exhuast volume - Non Res is best ;)

Re Stage 2? Do you? I never did on mine...

I do not have stage 2 yet. As far as I know, there is a lamda sensor on the stock downpipe which is not there on the milltek DP, so once it is changed over, you would get a light on the dash board.

The stage 2 remap is to accomodate the DP and get rid of the light/fault - or as far as I am led to believe!

Not that I'm aware of - the DP doesn't have a CAT in it, the CAT on the OEM and Milltek system is further down in a similar place and the lambda is plugged in at a similar point... no errors when I had the system in place.

I'd definitely go for the resonated. I like it as quiet as possible when cruising.

Thanks Gents.

Took the plunge today and have purchased a non-res TBE.

I recently have upgraded to Revo stage 1. I have had mixed reports on needing to goto stage 2 to remove Milltek warning lights.....but I think it may be more down to the fitter/vendor as their seems to be a huge variance of does and does not examples. Either way not a huge issue if the stage 2 upgrade is only £50.

I suppose my real Q's now are what - other than sound - am I expected to see an improvement on?

Is it about another 20bhp and a muchh lower spool up for the tubo giving sharper throttle response.....

My previous car zorst upgrades have been on naturally aspirated engines so do you really feel a noticeable difference with a turbo?

Cheers.

I would want to upgrade the air intake as well if you have installed a TBE to allow more air into the engine.

Once you have this, it is only another £50 to upgrade to Revo 2. Expect about 340bhp but then start to save for a new clutch and flywheel :)

I ran my TBE (was a bit of a hybrid actually, but anyway...) with the GIAC stage 1 map and I saw an increase of about 30lb/ft as the turbo spooled up over the OEM car on stage 1.
Top end bragging rights were smaller 10bhp and about 13lb/ft, but it made a big difference! As Boydie says, get a CAI on and your Stage 2 ready. Your clutch should be fine at Stage 2.... it's only Stage 2+ where you run the risk of the clutch not coping with the extra mid range torque the uprated HPFP delivers... having said that I know of several people on Stage 2+ running the OEM clutch with no issues for 1000's of miles...

cannot wait to order mine... Jamie your post just made me sex wee... also heard you got a mention in evo was it? well done..

I've got a non-res system on my car and I'm pretty happy with it, when you're out with a client just avoid motorways haha.

I seriously need to get my car mapped.

I'm running a full TBE milltek non-res de-cat, Autotech fuel pump internals, RS4 fuel pressure regulator valve, VF Engineering intake, Forge DV and denso ik24's....all still on the cars standard software and as you can imagine the car is running like a bag of $h!te with a dodgy air/fuel mixture etc.

Just havn't had the time to get down to statler to have the software loaded on but when I reckon there will be a massive difference when I do :)

Fortunately the body or wheels weren't damaged, but in an effort for it not to be found they caused some damage to the interior to get the tracker... fortunately I had a few tricks up my sleeve so the car was recovered from where they left it. £6k worth of damage to the interior, but good as new now.
Anyway off topic...

I don't know but personally heard one of Milltek's Resonated TBE exhausts, and they actually kinda sounded like stock while on the move. :S
