Hi Guys,

Had my RS4 stolen today - house was broken into and only the car keys stolen and car taken of course. Just be aware that it is still happening and the gangs are out there. Steal to Order obviously.

I will admit defeat and not bother with anymore fast toys - going to stick to my Fiat 500 1.2 Pop from now on. Probably my RS4 is on a container somewhere already on its way to the mainland, so just hope that the insurance company are good to me. :crying:

Will still be popping into say hi and see what the latest goss is, but just be aware if you are offered this car sometime in the future with a new identity.

Take care and be safe.

Huh? I thought you been trying to sell this car? I'm surprised you still had it..

Anyways never mind mate sorry to hear...

But don't RS4's come with trackers?

Sorry to hear, hope the insurance sorts you out.

Gutted for you, Sorry to hear this mate. Whats has the police said?
Hope your insurance get this for you asap.

Sorry to hear about your RS4, you must be gutted, I would be. At least no one has been hurt though. Any news from the police.

Hi Guys,

Didn't sell it as I decided to keep it end of June and ended up spending £1000 on new tyres, refurbing my alloys etc all to enjoy this summer, but sadly that whole plan was destroyed yesterday morning by some numpties who decided they would rather have it. Police haven't said anything to me...just working on the case and seeing if the car has been dumped somewhere.

Who knows if I will see it again and if I do in what state? Oh well....at least I wasn't in the house when they smashed my door down and they took what they wanted and very little else. Good luck to them if they have managed to get it abroad or whatever else these people do with these cars. Life goes on and the wheel will come full circle on them.

Thanks for all your good wishes. I will keep you updated if anything changes.

Police did say the usual that they are very sought after cars and if there is an example these gangs like, they will track people back to where they live to find the cars, so PLEASE be careful if coming back late at night etc. You just don't know who is lurking about.

Really sorry to hear about this - there's far too many scum bags in the world IMO!

Would it be an idea to post some details about your car - i.e. colour, reg/VIN, mods... it would help people keep an extra eye open for you if it is still about!?!

gutted for you.
hide your keys in the house! putting them on the "key hook" that you can see thru the window in the front door is not exactly smart!

But don't RS4's come with trackers?
No, and Trackers don't stop this sort of "steal to order" theft.

The professionals who steal this way know exactly how to get round them, so a Tracker is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

kick a man when he's down..tut tut some people.

Although the thieves will probably gain entry anyway and ransack the house until they find the keys, so having the keys readily visible when inside (obviously not visible from outside) is a better idea IMO. Cars are replaceable, family isn't.

Think he meant to share a bit of "worldly wisdom" here rather than aim that at the OP.

Sorry to hear this too mate, but like you said, none of you and family had to see it happen which is a good thing.

And that is exactly how I read it and meant by kicking a man when hes down, hindsight is a beautiful thing and being told where you went wrong after the event isn't the cleverest.

I agree with Aaron cars replaceable family isn't

Ok putting the keys somewhere obvious with these types of burglary is a better idea, if theyve gone to the effort to break into your house they wont think twice of harming you to get the keys, as proven elsewhere on this and other sites even guns have been used, what would you rather...the loss of the car or the injury of you/your family
