think i like the look of it here with these wheels.. the splits would look wicked with gloss black centres and matt black rims?? what you think?

i havent had a proper look really was just told if you lower the mk4 platform cars over 50mm they will catch on the driveshafts
so just assumed it was that but if yours doesnt maybe mine is being caused by knackered bushes or something like that?

i know front wheel drive cars knock when lowered to much but no one has mentioned the 4wd doing the same thing
will have alook in the week me thinks

car looks good sandip

like the brakes what do they stop like?

good stuff, shame about your head gasket though, you decided what your going to do?

normaly i hate eyebrows but they suit your car, wheels look brilliant too, nice one sandip!

dont think the 4wd platform suffers the same as the fwd do on arb rubbing as there different rollbars and link rods

I just sprayed the chrome black, it needs touching up now but only because I rushed the job! I think it made a nice change to the front end anyway!

A few more recent ones of mine from AITP

Top pic looks like you've done the headlights carbon too! They look good black... was it a big job taking them out? A day's work?

Thanks for the comments guys. Im running the standard wheels in standard colour. Have thought about spraying them a gunmetal colour but 50/50 at the moment what colour to go for.

The headlights are pretty simple to take off but my bolts were nearly all rusted which makes things annoying and longer than expected. Its easier to take them out with the bumper off, but ye to take them out, remove the lenses and rub down and spray the headlights will probably take half a day or so.

Thanks mate. Ye it is easier to take the bumper off because you have to remove the levelling sensor I think it is which is under the units themselves.

There is 2 bolts on top of the headlight units which can be seen when you lift up the bonnet and one bolt at the back securing the bottom of the unit. The one bolt thats on its own is in between the indicator bulb and main beam at the back of the units.

When I first done them I was 50/50 weather I liked them or not but I really liking them now. They freshen up the front end and makes it look a bit more modern and aggressive in my opinion. Most new cars/sports models all have blacked out likes now and makes them look a bit more aggressive my not to in your face. Il clean my car up as it was looking pretty dirty and dull that day and take some more pics, Il get some night pics too.

Nathan, how do you split the lights to paint the insides?

I used my mums hair dryer, works perfectly fine to heat the glue then you will be able to split them apart. I then used a stanley blade to cut the glue away.
