Porsche Boxster S

Having first worked on this car back in November 2008 it was well overdue its clay, cleanse and protection top-up.

Aswel as the full interior works inc. leather care, the hubs wanting painting also.

Not many photos taken throughout – weather gave grief and had much to complete before end of play.

Product

• 303 Fabric Guard
• 3M Glass Cleaner
• AutoSmart G101
• AutoSmart Tardis
• Belgom ALU
• Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel
• Chemical Guys JetSEAL109
• Collinite 476s wax

• Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite
• Elite Fine Grade PolyClay
• Hammerite silver paint
• Jeffs Werkstat Prime acrylic

Boxster was given the full wash stage and brought inside ASAP to escape the rain.

Once garaged, all exterior panels were clayed with Elites fine grade polyclay and ONR as lube.

Wheels were then off and back outside to be cleaned:

After lots of taping, masking and spraying, the four hubs were treated.

And with the freshly sealed wheels back on:

(Wish I had the ‘before’ pictures now!)

Bill the dog was kept entertained by playing ‘ball’ whilst the owner was out. Rain or no rain, he wanted to play (Infact, he was quite the hero; charging up and down the garden barking when it was thundering to try scare it away!)

Swirls and bodyshop defects spotted:

Having removed all contaminants with the clay bar, Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite was then used to clean, prep and add the glazing oils.

303 Fabric Guard applied:

Collinite’s durable 476s wax then applied.

“Boxster S” lettering cleaned up with a cotton bud and Jeffs Prime.

At this point I was getting bored of the wet, soggy and smelly toys that kept appearing on my lap (courtesy of Bill of course!) Five hours ago it was fun.

Locked up!

Glass cleaned with 3M Glass Cleaner:

Interior taken care of with AS G101 and LTT’s leather system.

A final wipeover and we’re almost there.

Bill’s on the run again; he cried too much and I felt guilty keeping him locked up.

Audi RS2

Much like the Boxster S, I last visited this car in the back end of 2008.

Having returned from the bodyshop and after covering some 5000 miles, it was time to clean the old girl up again.

Product

• 3M Glass Cleaner
• AutoSmart G101
• AutoSmart Tardis
• AutoGlym Vinyl and Rubber Care
• Belgom ALU
• Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel
• Chemical Guys JetSEAL109
• Dodo Juice Supernatural
• Jeffs Werkstat Prime acrylic
• LTT Auto Ultra Foam

The line-up on the second day:

RS sat ready and waiting…

Again, as the weather wasn’t on my side, I didn’t pick up the camera quite as much as I should have done.

Wheels and arches cleaned with Megs, AutoSmart and various brushes for the inner rim, callipers and arches etc.

Brought inside for an ONR wash as, other than the wheels, it was very clean to begin with.

Contamination picked up off of the roof etc:

Weather still doing me no favours:

A fair bit of tar removed from the lower sections:

A bit of britework polishing whilst the doors were still open:

Bodywork was cleansed by hand and Lusso’s Revitalizing Crème.

A fine layer of Supernatural wax was layed down shortly after to protect.

Glass polished throughout with 3M’s Cleaner:

Bill’s back (the owner’s dog) and is searching for his ball (which I’d hid as on the first day (Porsche Boxster day) he’d want to play at ANY given opportunity.)

Britework taken care of on the front end:

And a little bit on the rear:

DSC_0128.jpg

DSC_0129.jpg

Alloys sealed with JetSEAL. Tyres dressed with New Look Trim Gel.

Door shuts were cleansed and protected with Jeffs Prime.

Interior hoovered and leather looked at using the LTT system.

Engine bay was cleaned up by hand using AutoSmart G101, Tardis, Belgom ALU and AutoGlym’s Vinyl and Rubber Care.

The Boxster’s hardtop was cleaned and protected much the same as the Audi’s bodywork to see it straight for when winter arrives.

DSC_0144.jpg

A break in the rain allowed the car to be moved outside for final checks and photos before being tucked away back in its position ready for the owners return that night.

Still a very cool car and a real joy to have the opportunity to work on it.

Thanks!

Jim

amazing work as usual matey.....

curious...how do you get the door locks that clean :)

Wow both cars look ace but the RS2 takes it for me. How on earth do you get the front rings soooo shiney!!!!!!

Great work once again..

Cute mutley, fancy hiding the ball lol

What amazing work Jim and I'm sure the dog added to the day's entertainment. Normally when you want to take a picture of yourself you normally choose a mirror but not you just a freshly polished car body panel. Wicked.

Toothpickery work and then something that you already have in your armoury... Jeffs Prime! :) (more shiny locks coming soon Tim (finishing off things on an Atlas Grey C4S tomorrow and I've already spotted the dirty britework!))

Thanks Sarah. Again, my shiny rings (ahem..) are made from using Jeffs Prime! It's awesome.
