Over a few days decided to give him a detailing. Bodywork had been looked after but was full of swirls and tbh they really bugged me. New to this so bear with me and was a bit nervous of making a mess but fairly happy, still got a few swirls to work on but will do it after the conversion.

Used my Porta Cable
Megs Clay Bar
Poorboys SSR1 & 2
Poorboys Black Hole
Collinite Wax
Poorboys Wheel Sealant

How did you find the PoorBoys Black Hole??? I'm just about to order some as I believe it gives excellent results? Car's looking good BTW!

Car looks good Sarah. Some tyre gel to finish it would look great. The blackfire tyre gel is really good. Good work.

Agreed on the tyre gel, but looks superb! Well done! Just PM'd you (late!).

Cheers, was a hard few days but worth it.

I managed to get it off Ebay, bought the whole lot of a seller at a good price too. And yes its fantastic stuff, used it on the A6 in the background too and to be honest it looked a different coloured car at the end, stunning.

Cheers, really nice coming from you! And cheers for the PM, really helpful. Whats the best to use on the outer trim on either cars? The A6 has the lighter coloured mouldings on the lower parts of the bumpers and cant ever get it to look good for long! Mine has the rubber trims and for years ive used WD40 to remove stubborn polish but it still looks dull whatever ive used on it! thanks

Lol. My dog did that last weekend while working on the Porsche :( actually it took it off the table!

No worries. Best thing to use is an all purpose cleaner like AutoSmart G101 or Meguirars APC. Agitate with a soft brush to clean them out as well as you can. Then use something like Poorboys' Natural Look trim dressing or Chem Guys New Look. Auto Glym bumper care is OK, but a little bit messy for my liking.

That looks good, The pic below you in the pink, is that a before or after?

It looks like there is some holograming on there.

Otherwise, stunning job

Hmmm, can't see that myself? Is it not just the camera angle/distance from the paint.

think its the camera, that my next project, to master the art of camera work!

As a pro photographer AND detailer, I would like to hereby offer my services to take detailed photos of your bodywork.

Joking aside, I metioned to Sandip that now my car is up and looking her best, I'd meet up with him for some pics. I'll PM you if/when we get a date sorted.

Nice one Sarah, That tub of collinite is going to take some getting through!!!

Your fella is handy with that camera (reference car and your top B****cks photo)!

The friendly flirting is a joy to read Homeys!

Very nice Sarah. Well done for taking the time and effort. Not that hard is it? :)

Keep it up!

G

Well done. As a newbie DIY detailer myself it's very satisfying - shame it has to get dirty again!

Looking good Sarah, a job well done :)

Sarah, please note that I have refrained from the blatantly obvious comments to be made on things other than your car. That is however, not to say I haven't noticed and it wasn't appreciated. Thanks to your photographer for some entertaining photos. Love your pink Crocs x

Haa haa im obviously not style conscious in crocs but they are comfy lol! Its either that or bare footed!

Yeh, he likes taking pics lol, tbh I was in the cleaning zone and forgot to take pics, lucky he did eh!

Great pics Sarah! I really need to stop being so lazy and get mine detailed. I just don't have a drive here, so it's a pain getting it all done.

As for the content of the pics...I love the green machine!!! Your car is still hot, but i'm a huge fan of avant's, sorry!

Oh, and if my neighbour washed her car in those pink shorts it'd be amazing! ha

Looks great sarah! Im yet to do my first detail but going to try it out on the fiesta first before i get a new car, need the practise!

Yeh I love his Avant, its also Quattro so came into its own last winter! Saved me a few times lol

And yeh would be easier with a drive but still get it done lol!

Pleasure to meet you both today guys - wasn't a bad turnout, eh?

Not sure how I missed this thread the first time round but it is GOLD. I don't think my reports would have the same effect though lol. (imagine me working in a pink vest-top with hotpants and crocs? Yeah.. Maybe not!)

Give me a shout if you notice the bits I mentioned about today; it might be worth rehitting the bonnet with your finest polish and see how you get on.

All the best.

Hey was absolutely brilliant meeting you too! You truly are the best at what you do, your car (despite what you say) is stunning!!!!!!

Hey maybe not pink crocs lol, maybe a bit too girly for you! But you never know what attention you would get in hotpants and vest tops lol!

I will look at what you said, I did notice it when I got back in it. Its only been painted about a week on the bonnet and apart from a hand wax ive not done anything else to it. Must be the paint shop. The only problem I have is I only have the poorboys SSR1 and 2 and they will be too harsh I guess on the new paint.

Ah! There we are then, the bodyshop! (I thought they looked pretty hardcore buffertrails for a girl ;)!! )

Forgive me if you'd already told me about the bodyshop visit - I just spotted them later in the morning and thought I'd best point them out.

A fresh pass with your current collection should tidy things up nicely.

:)

Hopefully if the weather holds I will give it a go this weekend! Will let you know how I get on, thanks for the advice.
