My 8L S3 is only running standard power & while the brakes do fade after good work out a good set of pads up front would probably be enough to sort this, things is I have been given a set of Brembo 6 pots off an Audi Q7 for free, there Brembo 18ZR/ZL calipers, the same as Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg & I belive ECS use them for there Stage 5 kit.
I have seen a few people selling brackets to mount them to the S3 hubs, I have also been told I can use R32 Golf or TT V6 334 x 32mm Discs & braided hoses, I may also need to space out the wheels depending on spoke design & offset.
I asume if this is the case the brackets will have the calipers sitting closer to the hub to allow for the smaller discs as the Q7 runs 350mm, otherwise the pads will overlap the discs.
Has anybody here done this conversion or driven an S3 etc with these brakes & can give comment on pedal travel/feel when the fitted or if the above info is correct.
Cheers Ewan.
