Audi S3 Service

Hi all,

I'm about to get my local mechanic to service my S3, i've made a list of things for him to do, can anyone think of anything else that is worth doing?

fix overheating problem
fix air conditioning problem
fix fog light problem
fix rear washer problem

change oil filter
change air filter
change fuel filter
change polen filter

change engine oil
change gearbox oil
change haldex oil (4x4 system)
change brake fluid
change power steering fluid
change coolant fluid

change spark plugs
change cambelt and tensioners
change water pump (for metal propeller version)

change hi beam bulbs to white xeon
change fot light bulbs to white xeon
activiate 2nd rear fog light (if possible? it's blanked out be default)
remove and replace fan aux unit under battery (part never fixed overheating problem)

Be prepared to spend a lot of money that is a big list I think the S3 only has one rear fog light might be as well to get your car MOT'd at the same time get it all done at the same time for convenience.

If he's changing the haldex and gearbox oil.. may as well do the rear diff oil too.

That won`t be cheap and tbh a lot of that you could do yourself

I agree, plus get him to take sump off and clean oil pick up and oil strainer. this is a must if you havent had it done. it cost me a couple of G's when it starved my engine of oil. replace oil breather pipes or clean them. thats what im in the process of doing at the min.

remember, the problems are going to be paid for by warrenty, so the cambelt change is only going to cost me the parts, because the water pump can be part of the overheating problem even if it isn't lol....

lol, i get you, but, i have a couple of bikes to look after too lol! i have to change the oil every 1000 miles on one of them lol!
