Hi folks, been a while since i was on here. last time on i was getting advice on buying a 04 cabriolet which turned out to be a dog.
But 2 weeks ago i found and bought my 1st audi and im well chuffed with it...:yum:
Its a 56 plate 3.2 v6 sport in black with beige leather...traded my astra vxr in for it, and must say its great. thought i would miss the power of the astra but this is no slouch and the v6 has a nice sound to it. would post some pics but its says im not alloowed to?? so maybe will get some up later.
cheers peeps.

sounds good mate. i had a b6 3.0 v6 and that was silky smooth. get some pics up mate

You had the same car as me, I thought I'd miss the power of my Astra too, especially as it was mapped to 281 bhp and I went to a 2.0 TDI 140 but after a quick remap on this I'm not missing the astra at all!!

I had a astra sri 1.9 tdi the 150 job before my avant that was mapped to 200bhp so it shifted but I hated the thing only kept it for 6 months!
It looked nice but thats about it handling was poor, sterring was numb, driving position was terrible ( so high ) and the fuel comsumption wasnt that great for a deisel either. Sorry i am sure your VXR was much better I think its practicaly a completely different car to the rest of the range ?

yeah your right they are completely different, my astra was 315bhp and had all the bits on....handled great and was suprisingly comfortable, but this is a classy looker with a decent lump under the bonnet and the comfort is better than my sofa..

I was tempeted by the VXR to be honest before I bought the audi but I hated my diesel so much I couldnt bring myself to buy another.
I have the 2.0t avant and is so much better but together than any car I have had before and I have had 2 BMW`s, and a Lexus to name a few, but to be honest I wasnt that impressed with the performance as std I know its not slow but I am used to fairly quick cars so it just did excite me so I got it remapped and I cant belive how it transformed it !

The astra VXRs were terrible, they torque steered all over the place, you never felt like you had control.

These things carried on accelerating even after taking your foot off the pedal, too much power and **** poor handling.

I would have a focus ST over one of these anyday!

yeah the standard has issues with torque steer and handling, but quaife lsd and whitline adjustable rarb put end to that...also looked at focus st3 before i bought my audi and got to say i would rather has this than either st or vxr.

alot of people who look at other cars and then choose an Audi have all said they are happy to have gone down the Audi route, i must say i will never drive anything else apart from Audi now but im biased as ive only ever driven german(VW,BMW,Audi)

glad you liking the car mate, you cant beat the silky V6

Oh yeah if it came to audi or focus st then i would have the audi but my dad had a focus st3 for quite some time and i drove it all the time, and i have to say they are very impressive, sound amazing and for a ford the build quality is excellent! plus when remapped they are phenomenal!

I would love an RS but would sooner have an RS4 for the same money!!
