Awaiting arrival of some wind deflectors i ordered after seeing a post on here from:

http://store.eternalcar.com/audi-doors-04onwards-wind-deflectors-2piece-p-720013.html

Just a quick question, Do these stop the irritating problem of water running of your roof and ******* in your window whens theres the slightest touch of rain?(gets me every time!)

And could anybody with deflectors fire up a few pics to get the overall look.

Thanks
Mick

Dont know mate but if it does and they are well made and a good fit etc let me know as i too am sick to the back teeth of that problem

It just about stops the water coming in yes

One of the best mods i've ever had on my last 2 cars, and i'm certain to buy them for my future cars!!!

Yer same here I got them on mine an on my last car (golf)

Definatly makes a difference. get a bit of extra wind noise, but you get used to it. Definatly worth getting.

Thanks il be sure to fire up a few pics when i get them and let you know if it stop me from getting soaked, Shouldn't be a long wait baring in mind im in Scotland and it rains every 2nd day!

Definatetly stops the water flooding in by just opening a small gap so the air gets into the car and water stays outside.

Not sure about the extra wind noise mentioned earlier by sam though as I don't experience this but then mine are from a brand called climair or climate.

Keep me updated on this because if they work i will be on them like a tramp on a bag of chips

Phil they work for sure. A picture says a 1000 words?

Not the same type as the ones in the post but the concept is there. Open your window slightly so that the gap is is higher than the deflector and no water will come into the car.

Not everyone's cup of tea but I swear by these.

Climair or Climate - can't quite remember as i scrubbed off the blue logo.

I fitted these last week.... still not decided on them!

There are somewhat a marmite thing! If you don't get along with them then you could just remove it as it is only a 30 seconds job.

They are also useful is you smoke in the car as the ash pretty much gets sucked out of the small gap when driving.

thought you had enough of them smudge?

I've had mine since my first ride to be honest. Miss the good old days where i did smoke inside the car. :drag:

how do they fit to car ? clips ? or stick on ?

Usually just slips inbetween the top window seal/trims and it all holds in place reletaively well.

Never really had to much of an issue with them.

Mines arrived in the post today, Turned out there team heko one's aswell,Took about 15 minutes in all to fit and realy chuffed with the results. Took them a blast down the dual carriageway and they held out not bad all, wouldn't say theres any more or less wind noise.

Phone pics are crap but you get the general idea:

Job done! Glad you are pleased with the results Mick.

Do they stop the water ******* in when you use the washer jets with the window down, where it blows round the pillar and straight in

Been running mine now for a month on the SB and they are worth it, maybe a touch more wind noise but i mean just a touch. but in the rain they keep the side mirrors very visible, tested to the full in Cornwall 2 weekends ago during heavy rain and floods with the sea coming over the car.

Biggest reason i got them was for the fan of water that on motorway's masks the mirrors view, no water at all now hits the glass in visible range. Will post a few pics when i get chance.

Hi Rich,

As you know I have had these for a few months as well now but the water still seems to p*ss down the sides and block the drivers side mirror nearly as bad as before! I am sure they looked to be fitted the same as yours when we met up. I wonder if having the open sky makes a difference? Will have to check both cars and see if there is any visible difference.
That aside I do like the look of them especially on BE's.

Hi Richy

Could you let me know where you got yours from and what the make is....thanks

i have team heko ones.
only been on the car 8 months and they are starting to fall off the rubber window seal, the adhesive tape has failed in the three locations on the wind deflector which keeps it in place, when the window is open they start to flap around if you know what i mean i had these on my bmw and had no problems. anybody got any ideas what adhesive i could use on rubber.

cheers
gary

Team hako should provide you with clips to fit they keep defloctors in place i have install mine and is been few months

the clips should look like this

cheers
but i did not get any of these when i purchased them are these used when the adhesive does not hold the deflector are these for a audi , why i ask is my mate has a golf and has a different make and he used this type which came supplied with the kit.

cheers
gary

this should come with the kit, the adhesive doesnt help much, without the clips i dont think they will stay there much if you look in the guide how to fit these deflectors it also tells you about the clips mine didnt come with the kit either because the seller had forgotten to put this in the kit thats what he said

Mine came with the clips but didn't use 'em. Tried at first but the buggers wouldn't fit properly although seem pretty solid without and been on 3 months now.
