Just popped out & came off a set of lights turning right with a little enthusiasm (as you do sometimes) usually not a problem but this time the car decided to show off & turn into a 4wd drift machine
I've had poobaru's & the Evo so was quick enough to know what to do, but **** me the guys face in the car opposite was a picture (as would mine have been saying '****** 'el' actually) never even thought the quattro could do that to that extent, I mean I was propper sideways... I wonder if it's to do with the linglong tyre on the rear left

Anyway I know to be a little less enthusiastic now when it's wet.... well unless in a controlled environment anyway, lol.
Anyone else having traction issues ??

:blackrs4:

Lmao @ matt.

Yeah ive had similar thing happen to, nearly flipped the car, took a corner a bit too fast and the car fished tailed like ****, power kept shifting from front to back, was a nightmare trying to control it, i had a right brown patch when i managed to get control though :lmfao:

I had the same as Dani the car shifted the power around, ended up at the back tires (which have since been replaced) and I wasn't ready for it lol, needless to say I concentrate that much harder now because of it!
The girlfriends face was a picture though:laugh:

It's a bit **** the bed moment when you dont expect it though lol.

that funny moment where you try communicating with the car using your mind and you ask it "really?" as its breaking away then it dawns on you that this is real and youre one or two bad deceissions away from filling in an insurance accident report form!

Happened to you alot then matt? haha.

The power shifting can be a bit scary at first, i've gone into a rounabout a bit quick had the car understeering then the car goes hang on and shifts power to the rear and all of a sudden its power oversteer but in the words of Troy Queef "I just caught it with a dab of oppo and i was away, the Audi S3 1.8 20vt is a bitch, and I spanked it."

mine seems to under steer alot in the wet when on rounder bouts is this due to tyres or could it be something els.
all 4 tyres have about 6mm and are toyo proxes any ideas

Not had this problem yet! Does that mine i not pushing it enough!!! lol

mine used to kick out when i had one budget on the rear....not done it since fitting pirellis all round

My car done it once just after the rain on a notoriously(sp?) slippy round about, was in a rush and planted the foot in 2nd coming off the roundabout and done about a 20m sideways drift. Was a bit unexpected but fun at the same time, the old boys face on the opposite carriageway was amusing.

mine likes to kick out in the rain, but once it out theres no power shifting, its just drifts along untill you run outta puff in that gear, usually 1st or second, is that a sign of something a bit duff? much fun tho!! ps i have a set of really naff tyres, nankangs!
