cool by me mate always cool to meet like minded enthusiasts,yeah im there more than im at home lol , yeah man it will and a good selling point 4 when i come to sell it if i put it back to standard

thanks sarah ive been a busy little bee this week buffing it polishing it i even got underneath it and got the steam cleaner on it lol, now its nearly ready for aitp just got a few little jobs left to sort out then its time to relax hows your car coming along any closer to being done on time
 
After waiting since the start of April I finally picked up my new S3 today, MY11 Black Edition. Needs cleaning as I asked the dealership not to touch it. Sales guy told me he was very embarrassed to hand it over unvaleted but I'm happy it is completely swirl free :)

The changes I know are the mirrors, new style alloys, high gloss B pillars, slightly different rear lights (darker on black ed?), aluminium strips above door handles (but piano black on this black ed). I think the rear bumper/splitter thing is different too but its not in the photo.
 
very nice mate , i think the new style mirrors are much better than the older mirrors they were way 2 big in my opinion , looks awesome in black to got to be fair
 
My 1.9 TDI S.E....Was standard...had 18'' BK299's put on, and back windows all tinted...

Thanks. Here are some more pics, car needs a bit of a clean now! The sales guy told me the mirror switch was a new design so taken a close up of that.

Stunning car, the cabin just looks that little bit better again with the black gloss finish on the air vents and the RNS-E looks superb with the glossy finish! Like the wheels as well, looking forward to mine now!

i like the little chrome bits on the edges of the window switch's to very nice attention to detail from audi there
 
I feared the cabin of MY11 S3 I'm waiting on would not be as brilliant as the MY10, but it looks like Audi have added the exact right amount of gloss and chrome to take it that much closer to perfection! That is beautiful, enjoy your car mate :icon_thumright:
 
Yeah theres no doubt Audi know how to make an awesome cabin, they just keep improving it to levels I didn't think were possible!

Yeah it doesn't surprise me! I was only drawn to the Audi A3 because my dad was interested in one at the time, we took the small drive to Cardiff Audi and I jumped in the S3 they had in the showroom (Improved a lot from then) and I instantly fell in love and ended up buying an A3 for myself. Would probably be driving a Vauxhall Corsa VXR now which is nowhere close to the A3/S3 cabin so must thank my dad for that!
 
haha i know what u mean man i drive these type of cars in work ( jeff white motors in cardiff )and same sort of thing just fell in love with the way they drove i was always a ford man ive owned many rs fords but ended up buying a a3
 
Only just noticed your from Cardiff, what part? That the one just behind Sloper Road? Must admit though, I almost bought a Ford Focus Zetec S before placing my new order for the BE but that would have been stupid to make what I feel is a step down?!

lol i didnt notice you were from cardiff either till you said about cardiff audi haha, yeah thats the one on ninian park road , yeah that would have been a very big step down the focus in a very nice quality car but nothing like the audi they have got a good rep for a good reason one of the guys who works with me lives in neath and he used to have a p plate a4 advant and it was on 270,000 miles when he sold it and it still drove spot on i think that says it all really lol
 
certainly does i dont think i would buy another marque of car now maybe a vw or similar but defo a vag car

haven't posted a few pics for a while, i did have a black optics grill until an old woman kindly reversed into my car while i was watching through the shop window..thought i was dreaming. :( luckily i had my old grill before it went on the bay, so i just spray painted the inside black while leaving the chrome surround.

Does anyone have any pics of an A3 With the older style bumper but smoothed off? i.e number plate and little bump strips gone?
Trying to decide wheather to smooth off mine or just go the new front route.

syzygy have they gotten rid of the straight edge that was on top of the tailgates on the my 10s, looks that way in the photos, any chance of some more?
 
V16, love the car! Subtle mods but effective. Bi-xenons would look awesome on that.

Without sounding rude, i'll be interested to see how your standard shocks hold up. Reason why i say that is because I lowered my old car a lot with uprated springs but left the shocks standard. After about 5/6 months they were knackerd and eventually got a set of V1's. Hope yours will last a lot longer.

Anyways, nice car :thumbsup:

:eek: That is plain rude! lol But thanks man. Yeah i wanted a set of coilovers but money was restricting at the time.
My cousin has the same springs on his astra 3dr, he's had them on since September 2008 with no problems so hopefully i'll be alright.
The ride is slightly harsher but even with a full car i can't complain, and i think the stance looks just right.
