S3 2010 SIDE SKIRTS

Hi Guys,

Iv just bought some 2010 side skirts but someone said i need to geth the door sills that fit under ther door ?? how much are they and everyone have the parts number please

Iv already got the skirts, end caps an the kick plates is there anything else aprta from these sills ??

Is it a 3 door or sportback? I got 3 door ones a while back, IIRC they were around £46 mark each tho prob more now.

I have the sportback and installed the skirts and door blades but i have no problems with the s line sills. No rubbing, no problem closing...NO Problem but if you must

rear s3 sills... 8p4 853 557 J 01 C

That's because sportback is 5 doors and nonsportback is 3 doors and the sill numbers and sills are different

Have you got part nos for the 3dr s3 skirts and the other part required to fit?

Iv already got the 2010 side skirts an end caps need kick plates an sills as iv only got the Audi kick plates lol

The sill scuff guards are pricy!

Do a search, there is a thread that has all the part numbers.

ON Topic: Sline sills are more than the S3 ones when I got mine, how'd they figure that 1 huh & for my next trick, remove S3 branding from sills.

Edited as was directed at Ewan.

S3/Sline sills arent interchangable, they have different heights to go over the S3 skirts, take my word for that, I just want to get rid of the S3 on the alum sill plate.

Its the only S3 writing on my car too, havent looked into any options yet that will be sturdy enough.

Yeah good luck removing the alum inserts without bending them.

heat helps but it isnt an easy job like nige says one of 2 parts has to get damaged pretty much

Yeah its stuck down fecking well, it really is aswell, even the sills themselves are stuck to the car as if welded, I have had to spend hours upon hours removing the old sticky stuff to fit the S3 sills so its flush or you'll have a raised area, its a pig of a job with white spirit as thinner will eat your lacquer/paint, but white spirit & water is perfect.

i used tar remover to assist in it, breaks down glue very well, but tbh using heat is a lot cleaner. blistered my thumbs though :C

I used hairdrier but wasnt too effective though it did soften it a bit.

Only now a few months after doing Jordans car has the blisters on my thumbs fuly healed, unreal mate.

Hi the guy has just sent me the s3 kick plates an sills but the part number iv gotfor the sills are: 8p3 853 825 A and 8P3 853 826 B ?? they dont match the above ones... They are 3door.. Is there different part numbers for the sills on pre face lift an face lift as these are from an 2009-2010 ??
