I've got a 2003 A4 2.0 FSI , Lowered 30mm with the full S-Line body-kit badges etc...
As it's time to change the wife's 2001 corsa (Hate that car !!!)which she's had for the past seven years, I'm looking to do the same with a 2004 A3 1.6 FSI I've seen for sale, Question is what external bits are needed for a convincing look-a-like apart from the rims and how much do I need to lower :readit:???.

Bumpers, grilles and fogs, bonnet, skirts, rear spoiler, exhaust trim, lower by 25mm

inside the S3 isnt much different so just get the windows tinted!

Unlikley to get all the front end bits from salvage/breakers, do GSF or euro do copy's or is it direct from my local
audi STEALERS only ?

try ebay, and german ebay. it's not a massively difficult process, but it may take a bit of time. i reckon the part you'll struggle on the most will be the rear valance and diffuser trim (and side skirts probably)

You could be lucky and stumble upon a full but undamaged kit off an ebay seller in Manchester. He normally sells them £1500 all in. Depends if you consicence can live with knowing it probably used to be owned by a member on here before they were robbed for their keys and their S3 driven off to the nearest lock up to be stripped :-(

Well said Lee...

Digger, interior wise you need the steering wheel, gear knob, air vents, leath seats and black headlining also. Quite the mission!

When i did my a4 to s4 conv; I upgraded steering wheel, gearknob and gaiter, and a couple of other internal bits but left the headlining !

As for somebody stripping cars and selling parts on the bay thats hardly surpriseing, but I wouldn't be interested ,in knowingly buying such parts !!!

Good man Digger and good luck with your conversion quest!!

Not all s3's come with black headlining. So it isnt a must do for a lookalikey :)

Exactly, it will be just a look-a-like at the end of the day !

Viewed the 54 plate 16 fsi in phantom black today at the auctions, and parked along side
it was a 07 plate s3, so was able to compare, must say it's a shame about the bonnet, looking
at them along side each other there's very little diff; between the bonnets the s3 had just a
little bit more of a gap where grill meets it, would be difficult to tell the difference of the car IMO !!!

Meh, it's where i got my stuff from, and i don't feel guilty :)

I got a bargain at the end of the day

Whilst i feel sorry for the bloke that got it stolen in the 1st place, it's not my fault :noway:

It's about the supply & demand for it. If people weren't willing to buy it, then it wouldn't get stolen!

you can't get away with not replacing the bonnet. don't even think about it.

dunno, after the last headline thread I was so embarrassed to have light grey that I sprayed it black & now it looks terrible.
