A3 wheels on A4

Hi everyone
quick question i am selling my A3 sport wheels 17" and someone may be intrested in them in work with a 52 plate A4 cab he has 17" at the mo but they are scuffed to death so is looking for wheels. so will they fit ?ET 56 and his tyres are 235/45/17 the ones on my wheels are 225/45/17 can they just be fitted.

I believe the bolt pattern of the A3 is 5x100 so even if the offset is not a problem, he will need adaptors to make them fit his 5x112.

what year A3 as the new shape are 112pcd

He would need to fit spacers too, ET56 is much too low for an A4, which would typically have ET43 from the factory.

No there the wrong offset et56 wheel, will sit well inside the arch,I tried this once having bought the wrong rims!
