Audi's in the park - 8th August

Providing they don't **** it up this time then I should get her back tomorrow but knowing the way things have gone so far its anyones guess!!!... As this will be the third attempt at it I will be making sure its right...

<tuffty/>

well good luck with it fella..... i hate having to use bodyshops as the standards are polar opposites from so many places (even when a good job is expected)

Not to put you guys off, but I spoke to someone last week who had his car sent in, he ended up getting the majority of the car sprayed and even then it wasnt right, finally Audi ended up getting 3M in to see what the issue was as there was some sort of reaction issue that kept messing the paint up after a few days.

But on a positive note, Tims getting the drinks in (hopefully its Stella???) Im not camping, but will expect a nice chilled can upon my arrival on Sunday :) - Only messing mate

More concerned about the mess my interior will be in when I get her back... I had done a full detail over the weekend before taking her done.... was spotless and silver alcantara is not exactly wipe clean...

I might show mine a sponge before coming up.... If it's lucky that is.

LOL. I've GOT to paint my wheels before coming, one still bears the brunt of being crashed into. Sadly 2 new tyres on the back necessary VERY soon too.

Im not excited im bricking it still got loads to do before the day. wheels to clean and seal then fit, Coilovers and rear links to fit, full alignment to get 2 new tyres to fit and calipers to paint. Then full wash polish and clean interior the day before.

Ive got the wifeys b'day that week, and i said im going to take a few days off, the look of excitement on her face was great, coz she then said, so what you got planned, where are we going, what are we doing?????

My response didnt go down too well when I said, nothing, im just going to spend a few days tidying the car up ready for the show!!!

Guess i'll have to fit something in somewhere along the lines hey!!

haha we sound like a set of washer women!!!

ive just booked next Monday off to sort as much as poss out, might do half day Friday morning before the sat if the weathers nice.... my problem is i want to get the leather washed too and have to do all of the above on both cars...as the misus couldnt care less!!

oh and im away diving all next weekend which involves muckin the car up too :( so nothings gonna get done if the weathers crap on Monday

SATURDAY CAMPING/BBQ
This year, I hope to try and get a real community spirit going &
hope to get everyone camped together as best as possible. Lets break
down the "this club, that club" barriers and remember we are all there
for the same reason...AUDIS!!
I plan to bring a Gas BBQ and Mrs AITP has kindly volunteered to
cook, so feel free to bring along some BBQ food and get it ****** for
you!
All that is really left for me to say is this!....

We are now in the
final few weeks before the show, lets all have a real push and smash the
numbers we had at AITP 2009.
Please feel free to copy and past this on any Forum or Website you can think of!
Lets make sure that EVERY Audi owner knows about AITP and lets get them there!

Unlucky bud :(

...not the time to mention I got mine back today then.... if its any consolation they ******** up re-fitting my B pillar trim and now the seat belts don't retract very well so that and a complete application of Werkstat Jeff's Acrylic are on the cards over the next few days and a full interior detail as they made a bit of a mess (by my standards of course)

<tuffty/>

Well i've still got to strip most of my dash to remove a nasty looking handsfree kit, Werkstat the exterior, clean the arches and clean / polish / seal the wheels. Busy couple of weeks.

Hosepipe ban here aswell :rolleyes:

Well I am going to check out tomorrow how realistic it is to get down there but if I am there you may as well pass the spoon straight to me, country lanes and clean don't go hand in hand!

Ill need to double check but you might be able to add a haggard A3 to the list if you want it there!
