Sooooo Friday, was down a local shop, parked on the pavement, when i see the back end of a bus flick into the front end of my car... wings smashed in , door, wing mirror, wheel , bonnet and front bumper... I'm gutted - I was sad & burst in to tears (for some time) then repeated a few F*$&ing P$£$k S**T Box Effin' this and that's! My CORSA (like for like car) is coming tomorrow!! so guessing bus company have excepted liabilty and my baby may get a good full coat of paint and all the niggles I wanted to do after all.... HOPEFULLY , a blessing in disguise!!!

:sadlike:

Crap news! I remember talking to you at Audi International last year, you wasnt happy with the paint fade on the bonnet! Hopefully that shouldnt be a problem now. Hope they do a good job!

I have refused to have it taken anywhere apart from my mates paint shop (He's BMW trained and top top body repair and painter) It will be a better job than the factory with him - also can't just get one wheel refurbbed so hopefully all 4 will be :) (I was planning that for August to)

That sounds like all of our nightmares Nadine. I also remember your car from ADI last year - hopefully it'll be sorted at the bus company's expense. I know that whenever I leave my car on the road/in a public car park I come back half expecting it to have been modified by some dozy twonk. Luckily it's usually either parked safely on my drive at home or in the car park at work (always in the same space miles away from anyone else!). Sometimes I think it'd be easier owning something that I don't give a 5hi7 about, but then I see my S3 and remember why I bought it.

Sorry to hear this, hope you get it all sorted.

Let me guess, You was parked outside the off licence and half parked on the pavement and half on the road? am i right?

Gooood No! Always zig zag lines outside the oof licence... I was actually parked outside the local doctors surgery where there's a bus lane that runs up the whole street (the doctors doesn't have a car park) so had pulled into friends shop drive way, however the bus' back end flicked out due to the bus driver taking a wide steering angle, bus' *** ends up on pavement and into my car..... so nope u weren't right haha!!

Damm..LOL The reason i asked is ive done that many times in the past. Nipped into the local and parked on the curb..That was before i lowered it..lol

Thank You!! I know, I never park near any cars! Had just come back from work - bad day, pulled up, went to friends shop to say I wouldn't be long, stepped outside the door and whack my car was moving towards me!! Getting hire car tomorrow now, and managed to not have the poop garage they wanted to do the work and got my friend who's a top top painter/repairer (best i've seen) to do it! sooo fingers crossed won't be too long before getting it back :) and nothing to moan to u guys next time we meet about the previous crap paint job on my bumper!! :)

Hahaaaa! Nope! Yeah I don't really attempt curbs in it! I need to get the Cupra spoiler for it as the underneath front end looks so ****** unsightly especially after it's caught a few stones on back lanes!!

Happened to me as well, many moons ago in my Corsa which I had at the time. Was the love of my life back then.

Just got it back from the bodyshop 2 days before, parked on a road in Cheltenham and came back to it later.

New bumper that has just gone on smashed off, wing had literally a slice through it. Was wounded.

No idea who did it, or what, no CCTV. Had to foot the bill to get it fixed :(

Sorry to hear this again Nad, glad your ok though. How bad was the damage? And who you insured with?
Did the bus driver stop? Hopefully they will get your car sorted asap

Quite a bit of damage (but more than fixable - at what cost I don't know) wings aren't cheap let alone the rest!! I'm insured with Admiral paid it off annual payment start of the month!! Yeh driver stopped ... yep , hire car tomorrow, and painter getting ready to have it once everythings been ok'd with bus insurance people!! x

I know the damage sounds bad! Lets hope the cost to repair your baby not too much! You think the repairs cost will be close to half or close to the value of your car?
ohh yeah, i work for admiral lol. Are they passing your claim to albany assistance? Or admiral dealing with it direct?
I take it your not paying an excess as its non fault claim? x
