Well after 5 months which is a long time for me i've traded the car in (well it goes next saturday).
I've been looking at Merc C-Class coupes and BMW 120d sports and it was hard to decide but today i made the choice and left a deposit on a Focus Zetec S 1.8

The A3 is 4.5 years old and has 45k where the Focus is 6 months old with 6k and it was only £1k to change which considering it has 2.5 years warranty left makes it a practical swap (well i think so)

The A3 has never let me down apart from the leaking radiator which was replaced but i'm always wondering when something else is going to go

I've taken some upgrades off the car ready to sell on so if you want to pm me you can get them before they go on the bay
2009 rear lights, S3 gearknob+gaitor, S3 alloy pedals, S3 alloy heater vents, aero rear wiper

Well I just found out I have a another nipper on the way and I have some how got away with a 3 door with a 1 year old for nearly a year but not a chance with two kids so I need a 4/5 door. Been looking at MKV Golf and A3 Sportback none of which take my fancy. Would not mind an A4 but as I want an RS4 next I don't want the same car twice in a row.

So I think I have narrowed it down to either E46 320D M sport, Civic 2.2CDTI with the traingle exhausts or a C200 CDI Avantgarde SE. TBH I am leaning towards the merc as it has everything i have now leather, dual zone climate control etc and if I got a car without all that it would feel like a down grade and I really can't afford to feel like that as I have wanted a 3 door A3 since I first passed my test at 17 and to finally get one and have to give it up after a 1 year sucks but never mind.

****** - went to pick up the new car today and it's had a rear door repainted and it doesn't match - darker shade of silver to the reat of the car, it wasn't blown into the other panels
Well i told them i wasn't having it so i'm now on the hunt again - why can't sales be honest? 160miles round trip WASTED!!!!!!

Well all the parts (except for pedals) have been sold so i'm in my old car but it's now standard, back to square 1.....................

If I sell the A3 or when I do, it'll get replaced with another audi, no other interior on the market competes. Especially BMW, there interiors are quite frankly awful.

I'd consider the Golf VI, personally I think it's interior is better than the 8P's. Otherwise I'm well and truly an Audi man now

In my own opinion no way can the golf 6 interior (even a well spec'd) be better then the 8Ps. Especially if you have a well spec'd 8P as nates photo shows. Beautiful

Apart from the girly purple in Nate's car, but I guess even with, it still outshines almost all cars on the market, BMW's just look like a church pew, so boring.

Although the 3 Series exterior lines are quite superb.

I dont think there is much in it quality wise but your right about the tech. The RNS-e is nearly a classic by todays standards. Its from an era when Nokia made the best mobiles and Ipods had click wheels!

i did wanna ask you something N8. your car looks like a 8P2 (from the lights and wing mirrors), but you have the newer style centre console. i thought the 8P3 climate unit didn't work on 8P2s?

how did you get it all working? i much prefer the newer style chunky knobs (steady on...)

The newer climates will work on late 07 onwards cars as wiring & parts changed then, he did this based on my reasearch/advice, tbh its easy to spot the difference as behind the glovebox on the newer cars it has 1 motor & an orange CAM system in place of the 2nd motor used prior to late 07
