Anyone In birmingham to do cambelt and couple other btis

hi guys, anyone about that can do my cambelt kit and maybe clutch soon, also fitting coilovers... garages round here i have no trust in and the parts i can get for half the price they quote me.

anyone recommend anywhere or any guys that can help?

If that's £200 for cambelt, clutch and coilovers, that's a bargain!

Even just a clutch and cambelt at £200 isn't too bad i think. Got to question the quality of the work if they're quoting arund 100.

I paid £200 for KW V1's (coilovers) and front & rear ARB's to be fitted in my mk4.

£200 to fit the cambelt and tensioner ... i have the cambelt kit, just need it fitted and they quoted me 200.

They are a Audi/BMW Specialist, usually does an honest job and decent rates though you may need to haggle slightly. Quite rare to find someone like this now, I trust them more than Audi (they always damage my car!).

I heard good things about Midland VW, but they are too far out for me.

Why did you buy the cambelt kit if you couldnt fit it? If you take the parts to a garage its well known that most will over charge on the labour because they know you are out to do it on the cheap and they cant make any money off the parts!

£200 is about right to do the belt and waterpump. Its not a strighforward job on th A3 thats for sure!

Stafford Audi were doing it for £350 all in a few weeks back which was a bargain considering I had an A5 tdi for the day to tool about in and my car was returned valeted too! Also got a nice Audi stamp to prove it which pays back on the value when I sell it. Happy days!

Sounds like this is going to cost you the same to get in done back street!
