Finished my shift at work this morning and was called into the office (thought I was in the doo doo for something) to be told I was being made permanent as of next Monday, totally gobsmacked as there were 25 vacancies spread between 400 agency staff and a few thousand outside applicants, most of the other full timers were there 2 or 3 years before being taken on and Ive only been there for a few months so didnt really rate my chances and wasnt getting my hopes up too much as its quite hard company to get into, its slowly sunk in the last hour cant stop grinning, pretty chuffed to bits.
Its taken me nearly two years to find something permanent since I got laid off and Ive been surviving on just been bits of agency work, trudging through job websites on the net and going down the dole office is pretty soul destroying but if anyone on here is currently in the same boat I was chin up and just hang in there because hopefully when you least expect it and from out of nowhere something will pop up for you like it did for me.
