I'm just curious, but was wondering if anyone has ever had the DSG fluid serviced? How much does it cost, and how much fluid do I actually need? I'm thinking it's a good idea to change and just want to get a ballpark figure and general understanding of the cost of performing this kind of maintenance.

Thanks!

DSG oil must be changed every 60.000 KM (~37.500Mi). The gearbox holds 7 liters but only ~6.5 can be drained out. Also the filter must be changed.
Do not skip this oil change! In time, metal shavings may block the mechatronic unit which is quite expensive.
There is a special procedure and tool to do this, so go to an Audi service.

Its not very relevant but it took me about 300USD

I'm going to do all this maintenance next week then. Oil, DSG, Coolant, Brake Fluid, Steering Fluid... Thanks again guys!!

One other thing... would you guys say this is a 1 hour job? Or two? I don't have the right tool to do it myself, so if I service it, I don't wanna get reamed on the service charges...

The oil change is due every 40k and the last price I got from Audi was £62.50 for oil change and £92.55 for oil and filter inc labour etc. Best keeping on top of it.

Hmm if you can get a DSG oil change for that price I'd snap their hand off! I spoke to Newcastle AUDI not so long ago and all in it was going to cost £140. £87 of that was for the oil alone.

Well I ve asked twice now and get the same price each time!

Its a DIY job like the engine oil is, get the oil off eBay (just ask the seller of the Use by date, but most are 2015 or similar), go to B Q and buy a few bits and your done.
