Revo will always come out top as they have had the most comprehensive marketting for longer, CC/jabba or superchips 2nd i think

Superchips here just like sportquattro! I like your thinking, now i'm going to harass other Superchip users i find in this topic! lol

R-Tech for me from now on, brilliant quality maps, and the most amazing 'no ********' customer service I've ever known before.....

Wont ever be going anywhere else for VAG mapping

VagCheck map on mine for the last two years or so - top service, very personal and you can stick around and watch the guys do their thing... oh and the map is exactly what I wanted - punchy, but smooth.

Had a few issues recently with loss of power and they did a great job of identifying the cause and making tweaks to the original map in order to improve things a little. Now that my boost leaks issues are gone, the car feel absolutely amazing to drive.

lol everyone loves his map :D

I agree, not many people have experience of all maps. I had a Jabba map about 3 years ago and didn't like it that much TBH - too rough and very aggressive - not what I was looking for in a map. Happy with their service and the power, but prefer Vagcheck map personally.

Guys anyone runing an ABT remap? ive been lookng into them and although they dont say on thier site they do the 8Ls ive been speaking with someone from ABT UK about them he has quoted me £590 and 250BHP. I know that may seem expensive at first look but ive asked if its a custom or generic then we will know.

Only reason i thought i would ask is i saw the time taken to develop the r32 kompresoor kit and they had a standalone engine running at maxium revs for like 6 weeks with this kompressor.

MRC is one of the best if not the best in the VAG world I know because a mate had it on A3 K04 and it pulled really well,

I Have Revo, and love it, infact I splashed out a bit on stage 2 today, and it feels much quicker and smoother even with a faulty MAF. thanks to Shaun at AMD Essex.

S3Steve your car looks sweeeet.

My car is currently standard map, i've obviously been considering a remap, and have read sooo many forums and threads regarding 'the best one'. what surprises me tho is that given AMD's experience and expertise in VAG cars, that they arn't the top dog in all this. The choice is just too hard!! obviously i want the best, but how do you define the best. I cant decide whether to go REVO for the ferocity of the power, or AMD for smooth power delivery, either way it'l be around the same power, i just want it to be very usable day to day, so i guess the smoother option is best. ? who knows

Well i got my answer :

" Afternoon

It is a generic map based on youre software on the vehicle, this is developed in Kempten Germany.

Regards "

£590 quid for a generic map somebodys having a laugh

interesting, the market in australia is dominated by APR, with GIAC second, and revo a distant 3rd. others are virtually non-existent

Had my S3 done by Celtic Tuning in Cornwall Modified Power (Bhp) 270
Modified Torque (lb/ft)247

Glad your not sticking your neck out and not being vague in making your point :)

Must say after all my posts, ive hardly come across MRC..... yet they are the best because your mates car 'pulled really well' :)

I would say you need to do a bit more search to understand there are much better tuners than the above mentioned ones. Some people won't know MRC due to the high price and size of the business. I have Revo, and wanted to make a statement using real evidence " my mates car" not just what tuners offer on their websites.

you can do your own search now and undestand why the above is a fact. they are the only tuner who have been recognised by the Audi Driver Anual Award from 2006 to 2010.

S3KO4..

Agree totally with you Doug's maps(Mrc) are proper maps not just generics like revo etc..

Ive dealt with Doug numerous times over the past few years sent loads of people either to him or Mark at swict(offer in group buys at mo) Both of them offer probably the best maps available little between them...

A friend of mine had a revo'd s3 a while back he actually had Doug take it off for a Mrc one so much nicer map with none of the nasty revo/generic spikes..

If you look at Dougs work he is most probably/if not the most respected tuner in the Uk for S4's

As u said alot of people here the name Revo and think great its a big company must be one of the best..doesnt work like that sadly... As previous posts in my experiance same goes for the likes of Milltek..
