Hi,

I have owned my 2001 S3 for nearly a year my renewal is coming up and i am on the hunt for good quotes.
This year i have used my S3 for my 100 Mile a day commute to work and will have a years NCB come June renewal time.

My situation is changing quite alot and i want some where i can get a cheaper cover.
I am off to University for one year and i want to keep the car, however i wont be taking it to Uni, just leaving it at home.
I want to keep it covered so i dont lose my NCB i want to be able to use it for social things at Christmas when i'm back so annual mileage with be well under 2k.

Where is the best place to get this kind of insurance, i dont want to be paying 1000s to use it once a while especially as i'm so careful with it.
Seems ridiculous.
Where is the best place to go?

Cheers

phone Sky insurance for a quote and AS.net member discount

I've found there is no best place for insurance, i change change my cars alot and quotes very so much. I found Adrian flux the best on my mini cooper s, before that it was bell, when got my Audi A3 none would insure me . I dismissed Aviva as they declined me for my mini, golf gti and volvo c70 but i gave them ago in the end. They turned out to be near £300 cheaper than any of my qoutes on confused or compare the market for the A3. Just have to check everywhere, you never know who is the cheapest.

To name a few of my cheaper qoutes

Bell
Rac
Aviva
Sky
Hic
Adrian Flux
Green light

They won't insure below the age of 25 if I remember correctly . . .

Thats annoying... i'm 22 so makes it difficult for cheap cover even if i'm only going to be driving it a couple of thousand miles the next year!

i wouldnt say i am too expensive at 22 to insure even the s3, alright granted 1k is a little much but not in excess

p5snd how have you insured a S3 for 1k at 22?
my 2.0t a3 is 1k and i have 4 years NC and am 23 and the lives in a garage at home and parked in a secure public car park during day
who are you with?

admiral have offered me around 1000!
not bad for 1yr ncb
