I know you have Brembo's mate but my rears are half cut n looking rusty in the bell which is doing my nut in when cleaning inside the wheels weekly.....

so thinking of sticking the bigger discs that you fitted.... i have searched everywhere but cant find anything on your thread, just threads on going from solid to vented (A3 to S3) rather than S3 upgrade

any help?

Aren't they ecs stage 2's or something. Might be totally wrong there Tim.

no idea mate i remember seeing some extension brackets on another post a while back..... just cant find it for the life of me

erm at that price ......no haha

cheers Dani ;)

sure Jojo bought bigger discs and carriers

Yup, I have ECS stage 1 rears, and I got them for £350 allin brand new! lol, they are probably around £350+vat now?

You don't really need these 308mm on the rears unless you are running Big Turbo power in my opinion.

jojo i just thought you'd ran bigger discs and extensions for the calipers :)

boooo.... standards for me then chaps haha - any recommendations? im guessing OEM or budgets will doo on the back..... either that or ill spray the bells, cant be having rust on show for AITP ;)

Paint the rusty bits, and any decent oem style disc is more than enough.

Tho it saddens me that Joe has larger discs on the rear than i have on the front of mine, lol

That's what the ECS stage 1 rears basically is, 2-piece floating disk and extended carrier calipers, and some decent pads of course, but you can use standard pads.

Prawn mentioned in his Big Brake thread about 284mm(I think it was) custom rear brakes I think.

i shall have a wander over to the thread and have a peek methinks....just thought if i could fit bigger ones for circa £100 then i may aswell as standards are going to cost £60 plus pads

Evening chaps, I heard my name mentioned, so thought I'd come say hello :)

DaveB, who supplied my porsche brake kit, also does big rear brake upgrades.

I believe he does a 284mm kit, using 4wd rear calipers on a 2wd chassis with extended carriers to take the caliper out.

For the 4wd cars, I think he offers a 300mm kit using RS4 rear discs.

His kits are incredibly reasonably priced, log onto UKMKIVS or SCN and give him a PM!

Think i may need to have a little chat to dave, the rs4 rear upgrade sounds very tempting, haha.

Ive got Tarox 2 piece on the rear of mine cost quite abit though. just another option for you
And Lovely Ap's on the front.......

Think the rears were just under £600 Jojo and fronts just under £2,000...!!!

Lucky really Animal as the Brakes and H&R coilovers/anti-roll bars were on car when i bought it...

Ive just Fitted pretty much Everything Forge Motorsport sell to it lol....

And yes Brakes are awesome...!!!!
