Posting Large Items

After using eBay for like 7 years I've never actually sold anything so I thought it would be a good time to start getting rid of some unwanted items. I'm going to start by selling my spoiler off my old 206 but I'm not sure which courier to go with. So any recommendations would be helpful.

I shall give them a try! Looks like a spoiler is £15 to send, but I'm just mostly worried about it getting damaged on the way there.

I'm planning on wrapping the spoiler in several layers of bubblewrap. Do you think that will be alright?

I think you are insured on most items. I think the exception is bumpers and metal panels i.e. wings etc.

I guess there's always a chance of damage but wrapping in bubblewrap should be fine.
I sent a front bumper to Northern Ireland not long ago and wrapped it in plastic sheets only, so not as protective as bubblewrap. It got there with no damage.

I guess I will be using them then! Do you know how long they take to deliver as I can't find any delivery times on their website.


Edit: Nevermind, found out now. Didn't realise I had to try and book first before they tell me.

Everytime I have used them it has been next day. Even the delivery to Northern Ireland was next day too.
When you start the booking process it will ask you to select a collection date and a delivery date. Once you have done this and gone through the payment process you will receive a confirmation and booking number. This confirms that your shipment will take place on the collection and delivery dates you specified.
Your booking reference is also you tracking number via City-Link's website, so you can keep an eye on where your package is.

I was trying to send an 8P front bumper to a member on here and parcel2go wouldn't ship it because it was slightly too large, and every other place I tried wouldn't ship it either (unless I was willing to remortgage my property to finance the deal).
Paisley were the only ones I could find who would do it.

Strange thing is; Paisley arranged it through city-link, but initially I tried to book through city-link but they wouldn't ship it.

I considered doing that but the booker kept telling me that if the item is bigger or heavier (or smaller and lighter!!) than I quoted then the courier would refuse collection/delivery.
So I chickened out!

i sent a bumper and it was 1.5m, so i taped the extremeties down a bit so that it tapered down to 1.2 ish and sent it, carrier never complained when he took it...
