With the purchase of a 2nd home looming it's looking like I'll struggle to afford to keep my beloved S3 after only a couple of months ownership :sob:

I had just bought an ITG Maxogen and forge diverter valve from Awesome gti and was planning on fitting the parts and maybe ordering more, it's really upsetting as I know I've not managed to tap into any of the cars potential performance and I've now stuck these items in the classifieds

I'll be putting it up for sale in the next couple of weeks once the deal for the house has been settled, and i'll be on the lookout for a cheaper replacement (possibly a clio 182)

My plans are to buy another S or RS model in the next couple of years once things have settled and theres some cash knocking around

Anyway I just thought I'd share my story before I decide to go and dive off the erskine bridge

Well with the purchase of a 'second' home..no doubt sooner rather than later you will be back in a car much more superior than an S3. Good luck with everything!

second home is for development by the way not just for the luxury of having a second home!

but thanks anyway!

Sorry to hear that Craig, but at least the head is ruling the heart for you this time around and the right thing to do.
If you want to offload your ITG Maxogen drop me a PM as I would be interested, assuming it will fit my 2010 model.
I am in Glasgow so could pick it up to save on hassle of postage etc ( assuming you are in the area after quote about the bridge )

if youre trading in would you trade the buckets out? :) gutted for you, itll not be long before youg can get another

Cheers guys, It's a pain in the back side but you can't have your cake and eat it I suppose, hopefully I'll be back in something nice soon.

willmac I've dropped you a PM regarding the ITG I'm sure it will fit your car becuase I can't find a different one online for the S3, I'm in Glasgow too so that would work nicely if your after one!

Regarding the buckets, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to sell them seperately as I'm sure they would help the sale of the car!

haha it was only if you were going to trade your car in, buckets would help a private sale yeah, so whats going to be the new daily, an old 8l s£? :)

Ah I see what you mean, as for the new car so far I've got a shortlist of....... Clio 182 Trophy, high mileage Megane R26(used to own one and loved it), 350z as theres some cracking deals on them just now.

Ideally looking to spend around 8k tops which might just take the R26 out of budget but either the clio or the 350z would be good fun to drive- I'm lucky in that even although the price of the car has to come down, I don't do a high mileage and often take the train to commute so the running of the car i.e petrol doesn't really have to become a consideration.

Maybe I should just not bother with a car....I wonder if I'd survive haha
