the best looking sets :hubbahubba: i have seen are on the dectane website. i contacted dectane but unfortunately they are only available in LHD, they said the would hopefully be available in RHD in the near future but couldnt make any guarantees :sadlike:

sorry for the lack of images for some strange reason the dectane webste wouldnt let me post any, if anyone has fitted these style of lights or any of the above it would be interesting to see how they look

Cheers

Hi,
Im also interested in adding new headlights onto my 09 Plate A3 Sportback 1.9 TDIe, the ones with the LED's in. I think the ones that came as standard are awful, just wish I'd paid the extra £1k to have the xenons/leds fitted.

Ive looked around the forums but it seems so confusing. I know little to nothing about the workings of a car, so any advice would be appreciated.

If I was to buy one of these headlight units, is it as simple as taking the old ones out and replacing them with the new ones, or is it a lot more complicated? many thanks

that the leveling motor off your halogen lights can be used on them to adjust the level. that they are connectable to halogen lights as its a different connector, or if they arent directly that they have an adapter loom other than that you should be fine, though i belive aftermarket lights just need a little tweaking to get tehm to line perfectly but im sure youll manage pics up if you get them

yes, none of the aftermarket lights will fit your 09 so forget it!

They are all designed for pre 09 cars, none of which had led's available, unlike yours!

thought it was maybe alright when speced with only halogen good info so do the new a3s with halogens come with leveling sensors to make the 09 lights P&P

Thanks mate. looks like im stuck with a really nice car new car, with really nice, pleasing on the eye LED rear lights, but absoluteley NAFF front headlights. they let the car down so badly IMO.

I ordered it Xmas 08 and had it May 09, didnt see it in the flesh beforehand, it was my first Audi. None of the pics in the brochure had this naff headlight setup, so i assumed they would be nice modern lights (to go with the nice modern rear reds).

Well Im stuck with them then! Cheers guys. :bye:

It may not be that bad.

As the new oem led style units are not compatible with most of the 8p's, them seem to go for a relatively cheap price on ebay.

But as you have normal halogens, And to keep it legal, you would have to fit all the extra's with the lights, ie washer jets and have auto levelling.

Just out of interest, have you tried uprating the bulbs for better vision, or is it just the look of the lights you dont like?

Its both really. I drive on some nasty country roads in the middle of night coming home from work, and they just seem very dull and not as bright.

Mainly though its just vanity, I just love the look of the LED daytime running lights, I know theres a few who dont like them, but i think they finish the look of an A3 off.

I will definately specify xenons with leds on the next Audi I get, probably not worth the hassle of all the extras as mentioned above. Cheers

But unfortunately they wont his car. They will mine though :)

:applaus: Sexy Them will they fit my A3 2006? (i dont have projectors) i really want them. cheers

I'm pretty sure these are the ones PregnantNProud fitted???

lovin the s3 rep those lights are the best lookin imo cheers for the link anyone know where i can get them ? price and what work is involved ? cos they look like projectors and i have normal lighs ?
thanks :kissmyrings:

You can get them from ebay mate. LHD and RHD ones. Here's the link:

The item/seller is located in Taiwan but says they'll ship to Europe. Think they'll mark the lights down as "gifts" as they mention in the ad "No Import Tax"
