Morning folks!

Well it's my 1 year anniversary with the lovely lady in 2 weeks and she's stuck on what to get me! I was thinking Revo Stage 2 but that's too much money  I pretty much save and buy everything i want so i'm a hassle to shop for!

Then i thought 'hmmmm! LIQUID GAUGE!?'

I would love one of these but i don't know if i should go for it? It seems like the daddy and what it does is spot on. I don't know anyone with one and i haven't played with one so i don't know how brilliant it should be!

I've told the girlfriend about it and she said if that's what i want she'll get it for me! Woo hoo! In return i'm taking her shopping :whistle2:

Cheers!

Jay

Yeah that's fine Dave. So from what i've been checking out you can pick up codes and erase them? Also, does it have a boost gauge?

What does the boost gauge read in? PSI or Bar? Also, is there a function which isn't compatible with the S3? I've seen the liquid gauge for other model of cars and some functions don't work with them?

Cheers matey!

it reads bar or psi....egt and oil pressure guage dont work on a standard s3

How much are they? cause i might be wrong but i thought a stage 2 was only £50ish

Well i was told that an Revo stage 2 was only about £50, so when he said that one was to much so he thought about the liquid guage, i thought they must be really cheap, thats all buddy

Ajay.....get some pics of your car up, not seen it since the rims and drop, the sig pic looks bang on.....

Ahh crap, now I've added something new to the ever growing list of mods.......:yum:

Cheers Nilz :) Haven't had much time recently to do a lil shoot but i'll defo get one done soon. I'm happy with how the car looks now. The wheels were sitting way in before so i've got 20mm spacers on the rear and 15mm on the front. That sorted alot of the look out!

EGT will read on an S3 with an EGT probe fitted, earlier S3's didn't have this but AMK/BAM do...

Oil temp is taken from the dash pod and not the ECU, this works as the individual gauges but makes multigauge crash due to differing sample rates... I had mine altered so that EGT's were shown rather than oil temp and is the gauge I use the most...

Thanks for that and the link Tuffty. Looks like i'll be getting one of these in a couple of weeks!! :) Can't wait! I'll finally know how much PSI i'm doing lol The BHP run will be a good laugh! I used 1 of those VI Monitor's a few months back and got 2 runs of 261bhp and 1 run of 262bhp. That was with a half dead MAF though!

Nice one, look forward to the pics.

Tuffty should buy me vag-com

But really, i don't need vag-com that's the thing guys. All i'm ever gonna do is scan the car, see what code comes up and sort the problem out. I understand alot of people on here go really technical into things but that's something i don't need to do and i'm not very good with anyway lol. A couple of friends have vag-com and are very good with it so i could use theirs if i ever needed to.

Liquid then bud.... do it

As for fault codes, I am not sure it scans anything other than the engine group so ABS and other issues may not show up... would have to confirm that with Jim over a Race Diagnostics though
