Just thought I'd post up a couple of pics of my car, one with the original 'old style' rear lights and one with my new '09-> style' ones, to help swing somebodys decision as to whether they should do the upgrade or not. I think they help bring the rear end bang upto date, well chuffed with them

Avaliable from your local Audi dealer and the 3 door requires no coding to fit!

Ive been meaning to do this for ages now.... I have one side 09 rear lense....Just waiting for another to crop up.... GRRRHHHH

Facelifted lights make the rear look so much better!

This has been lingering on my mind for a while.

Not sure if its worth the cost (they aren't actual LEDs ) but they do look much sharper!

What kind of work is involved in replacing the old ones?

5 mins job Phillip

Open boot, take screw out holding lights in, pull light off, unplug connector, connect new light, push back into place, do screw up

Jordan everything is always a doodle for you :applaus:

Have you done this? I can't help but want to do things to the car.... luckily I dwell on most things or I'd be in some serious trouble!!

So are you suggesting I can visit you if I go for this and it gives me trouble :sly:

To be honest, swapping these lights could be done by a 5 year old. They are one of the easiest parts to remove from the car.

If you have any problems doing the swap then maybe I suggest night school! :)

maybe theres something wrong with me but for me the older lights look better

Definately worth doing, also they will sell for the price you bought them for on ebay or here.

Looks fantastic. makes the rear look so much newer. If you live near essex i can help you install them. but as everyone said... its a piece of ****.

When you unscrew the lights from inside the boot, DONT drop the screw because it will fall into a hollow thats very annoying to gain access to.

got my lights for £99 off fleebay

That's a very good price, I kept my eye on ebay looking for a pair for what seemed like ages before eventually getting fed up of waiting and biting the bullet and ordering some from the main dealer!

I got a drivers side 09 rear lense a couple of weeks ago, off ebay....£20!!!, thats INCLUDING postage!!! WIN!!!
HAHA I bet that ebay seller was most gutted!!!

So just waiting for either a passenger side to crop up, or for me to go Audi and order one...Just havnt got the time to deal with it at mo :sob:

i just fitted mine today, i think i like the indicator lights the best!!

How much do these go for a pair from the dealers? I have the older style lights but his pics dont do them justice.here's a pic i took to get more of a resemblance.

I had mine a while back along with the '09 S3 Rear valance and trim, just need to fit them now.
Maidstone Audi got the parts in no time and they were cheap too! I'm sure the rears were £70odd each :)

The lights looks very smart.

Well done mate good move.

Do you need any adaptors or do they jus plug straight in?

Ah man! Miss my chance! I blame my work for making me miss golden opportunities!!

Nigel did you mention before that you had the reverse lights working on both? I will ask more questions when I see you (the fountain of knowledge) :sly:

Plug straight in, literally! If you buy brand new they come pre fitted with the bulbs so you dont even have to bother with that!
