Last night some idiots decided to scribe on my car, luckily it was the silver chrome strip where the electic roof joins the windscreen. Not sure how easy it is to fit a new one.

Anyway I am looking at getting an aftermarket alarm as the audi one is not very loud. By the time the alarm woke me up it had reset to just hazards flashing.

Has anyone else fitted an aftermarket alarm, if so have you had any problems with it interfering with the existing factory fitted alarm.

Cheers in advance

Does it make you wonder how these w4nkers were born at all with no brain cells, tossers, cant have anything nice anymore, what do you think there responce would be if you did the same to there cars, twats.

i was thinking is there a way of making it sound the horn as well or maybe getting a louder siren to replace the audi one.
any one done this

Ban ****** football to start with
as there a bunch of over paid *******
that would ease the football hooligans ,
as for the alarm never fitted one after market but would have thought any of the big alarm people TOAD / CLIFFORD etc would be your best bet

If anyone has any ideas on aftermarket alarms, as the audi one is soooooo quiet it doesn't wake me up at night.

If it weren't footie it would be something else

I run with a Viper 500 with sensors which detect anyone near mine and the alarm lets the whole of the neighbourhood know someones near, unlike the **** poor casio watch down a well Audi one.

Does the alarm interfere with the Audi alarm.

I once had a Clifford Alarm fitted to an Astra Sri, I had terrible problems as the Vauxhall alarm used to arm itself along with the clifford alarm.

Clifford now have can bus compatable alarms that runs off the audi one - and you get all the clifford accesories and alarm sirens but you get to use your audi fob to control it.

give Gap security a call as they come to you. never used them before though or you can go on the clifford website and look for authorised dealers in your area and get them to fit the canbus alarm.

Problem is the louder & more noticable the alarm, it almost paints a target on some cars, like proximity sensors, people who are ****** or hoodies, which are usually the idiots who do the damage, think of it as something telling them not to touch, so immediately this creates a psychological mechanism within there thick head that says to them "I will touch what I want & nobody is gonna tell me otherwise", so its a fine line between loud/obvious & discreet/hidden, difficult really as there are people that would heed the warning of loud alarm etc & others that would see it as a challenge, where as others would maybe leave a car with a quiet alarm alone.

maybe get one of the pager ones that way you no its being buggerd with and keep the audi one as well

I have a clifford Concept fitted to my Van with the sensor like Vorhees mentioned, If anyone stands too close to the windows for a period of time then it sounds a warning alarm, a real annoying one aswell BUT its loud and is enough to alert you....when it goes off though it sounds like Blankety blank.
My dad had one fitted last year to his Audi for £270 supp/fitted.It has the autostart aswell like mine which is handy for them winter mornings!!

Interesting, given it bypasses the immo circuitry to start & stay running.

I love Clifford alarms, not had one for 10 years... The last one i had was a concept 300 with Intelli Start. Very cool while at college!

ha was it the one that changed sounds all the time it went off i had one that was cool lol

Hi,I have an A4 cabrio with a Falcon GSM Alarm fitted. It has dual shock sensors and microwave features and being gsm has a built in sim card so when triggered the car rings you up to tell you!!!! Also if it does get stolen with the keys you can ring up the alarm and command the car to immobilize! Cool!! Plus you can use it as a hands free kit,as it has its own phone number, just have to keep the sim card in credit. When using microwave mode you have to turn off the audi microwave mode (switch in drivers door),apart from that no problems.

that sounds cool how much did that set you back mja4cab

Okay! This was my shopping list,
Falcon Predator gsm car alarm - £199.99
Falcon six tone battery backup siren - £14.99
Falcon dual zone microwave radar sensor - £21.00
Falcon dual stage shock sensor - £14.99,
All at www.in-car-stuff.com
If you buy the alarm inc. fitting at falcon alarms it will cost you £750 plus.
I bought the above items and had them fitted proffesionally for £150.
Bargain! Hope that helps anybody!
