i have read alot about the lamin-x headlight tints, and i am hearing very mixed opinions as to whether it restricts the light alot or not much at all - could anyone give me any feedback and pics as to what they think?

Has anyone put lamin-x or know of anyone who has put this on drl headlights..

Thanks

Yes, i have just put some on the S3,and they do definately restrict the output of the bi-xenons,makes them more like normal headlights. Am going to take them off for the winter.

it greatly depends on the 'tint' you have, subtle is only 6% (you would not be able to notice it) but then higher than that you go to 12% and up which will make a difference.

I've got the dark gun smoke lamin-x and in certain conditions at night with standard headlights you cant see a ****** thing.

i might take them off for some slightly lighter ones

p.s i have new tyres now hahaha

I have the subtle tint on the new shape w/ DRL's and I can tell you I haven't noticed any difference and the headlights look amazing! Trust me, do it.

Just to make you all aware guys, i bought some laminX tints from the US site (precut ones) and was informed they would fit 06 onwards, unfortunately they only fit prefacelift models as the lights are fractionally wider with the face lift, just so we don't all go wasting our money like i did! :sob:

Nice one Mr Haines :p its not that often people post up concerns & advisories like this to help avoid issue for others, so its appreciated.
